Title: Riggers and Matrix Perception
Post by: Robert on <10-03-22/0530:16>
When a rigger ist jumped-in, he is using VR, so all his normal senses are replaced.

Can he see...

Example 1:

Rigger is jumped-in and drives on a highway. A big ARO sign warns in AR that there was an accident behind the next curve. Does the rigger see that ARO?

Example 2

A technomancer with machine mind echo is jumped in a car and approaches a red traffic light. He wants to switch that traffic light to green (that way also switching the other directions to red, thus reducing the risk for collision with crossing traffic).

Matrix Icons, such as AROs and Traffic lights, are visible from AR and VR (Cold or Hot).

A character in AR or VR can open up a window that shows sensor and camera feeds.

Can he see...
  • ... those things, that the vehicle sensors see?
  • also all the info in AR, like AROs?
  • also all the info in VR, like matrix icons?
All of the above (As Hobbes said).

Virtual matrix objects such as AROs and personas and devices and networks and hosts and other icons as well as the physical world around the car using on board sensors and cameras etc that the vehicle normally use to drive in traffic without crashing into stuff.
