Ever been to a job interview at a big corp and feel like you're infiltrating the place? I caught myself listening in to the corpspeak and mimicking it, so much so that the interviewer said that I fit right in. That was years ago though, and I took a job elsewhere.

My Technomantic attempts however were a failure. Still... I see much of Shadowrun in the real world, as of course is intended.

New interview lined up, and I feel like doing some legwork. Like visiting the place downtown, try to match the attire and so on. I'm bored, okay.
Heh, my legwork for interviews includes
- Matrix Boards (LinkedInTM and standard websearch)
- Hitting up contacts (you know about this place, anyone who used to work there? What sort of rep it has?)
- If possible, reconnaissance to scope out the building and staff

I got blueprints once, so I'd know my way around the building :)  Nothing wrong with this, is there? *twitch*twitch*

Of course, you realize he'd know you're playing him as a PC and be extremely bitter about it, eh?

And, honestly, do we need another "Merc With A Mouth" in Shadowrun?

*Looks at tag-line under his pic* NAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

But on-topic, I work as both a LEO (that's Law Enforcement Officer just in case you didnt know) AND as a security supervisor at my local airport. So I can't make up my mind if Im a Lone Star or Knight Errant...or wait a KE is the law now...damn, Im more confused than ever. Anyway, I've had more than one mental excercise of how I could penetrate airport security, hijack a plane or lift some cargo. Also do the same for when I'm on the beat. That kind of thinking does help keep you sharp and alive. Not to mention I once pulled over a particular nasty (looking and smelling) drunk dude and called him a "fragging trog" under my breath. Glad my my dash-mike didn't pick THAT up!

Also, used to have a good buddy who would DJ at some local clubs and I would play roadie for a few drinks. He was heavy into the electric-techno with a bit of "goth" thrown in for flavor. Some of my best GM runs  were conceived while hanging with him.

Mystic,

and it's just that kind of thinking that causes cops and crooks to have similar mental profiles, as do mad bombers/terrorists and the EOD/bomb squad guys that hunt them. i guess it really fits for any pair of criminal/cop you could imagine.

and yeah i'm one of the above,,,
Carpe Noctem (seize the night)
Carpe per Diem (seize the pay), Carpe Dentum (seize the teeth), Carpe Denim (seize the pants)
Carpe Panem (seize the bread/capital)

no, i won't "just get over it."

Actually driving past a place called Aztechnology...

All I could think about when I first saw it was, "It IS real!" They "say" they produce musical equipment and such. And it is in some small town in Missouri that I can't remember.

back to the main question:

some films that have almost nothing to do with SR, including minority report, paycheck, payback and ransom
What if comics (was the basis for a series of WTF shadowrun games)
and more recently, some car and motorcycle designs.
Carpe Noctem (seize the night)
Carpe per Diem (seize the pay), Carpe Dentum (seize the teeth), Carpe Denim (seize the pants)
Carpe Panem (seize the bread/capital)

no, i won't "just get over it."

Ceiling Cat for it sees all. I also saw a squirrel jumpkick a bluejay that was harassing it in the head earlier today.

Ceiling Cat mostly watches you masturbate... Everything else bores him.

HA!  +1 for the helpless mentor ceiling cat.  Sounds like a real tortured soul.
