Title: SMH2012-01 Free Taiwan Q
Post by: NinthSphere on <05-01-12/1730:04>
Hey, everybody. New GM and I'm going to be running Free Taiwan as my post-Food Fight intro mission of sorts (*probably* in a matter of hours) for a home campaign.

I was making another sweep over the mission in my head and realized that the ship doesn't list any node security (although the Deadly Waves entry 'runner banter mentions a rigger meeting them about 6 hours out of port?), just that the manifest is available on it. Given the cost of these ships, I imagine there would be something beyond open access to whoever wants it.

My team has two riggers, so hacking admin access is probably a given. What kind of security do you guys expect one would run into nodeside?

...or is this actually supposed to be such a milk run that I should just hand wave it, since notes throughout mention that the stuff you run into should really only be harassment?

Assume a basic Device Rating of 3 for anything that doesn't have assigned stats.  So it has some baseline security, but nothing fancy.

Fantastic, thanks. The game got put off until next week after all for lack of time, but it looks like it'll be a fun start.

Even with the base node rating of 3, there should be plenty of tools available for the GM to have fun with the riggers in the ship node.

Remember the opposition, should you choose to use them, isn't as restricted by the device rating. :)

Yeah, I definitely intend to make good use of the opposition.
