If I modify a device, say a toaster, with the persona firmware, can an AI load on to it?

Sorry to bring this up, but does the Persona Firmware modification supersede the rule that an AI can only load on a device capable of running apps, cyberprograms, or autosofts? I'm working on a build and its pertinent.

You're not wrong, but in an environment like Shadowrun it isn't a stretch to say a toaster, or refrigerator, or vacuum cleaner, or lamp, or radio wouldn't have the ability to run a program or autosoft. Toasters can be set on timers digitally set to measure how many slices of bread you have left so you know when you need to order more. Vacuums with pilot autosofts to navigate your furniture, and yep...... point is....

Toasty doesn't keep track of the number of slices of bread you possess; only the number of slices of bread (and bagels, and pop-tarts, and other such starchy products) you have assisted him in toasting - and, of course, to encourage you to toast more!!  It's Breadbox's job to keep track of how much bread (and bagels, and pop-tarts, and other such starchy products) you possess.
