Yeah a threshold would make sense since this is a bit trickier, but not sure how hard it should be. Will leave that to others to sort out.
Sticking the right way(direction) should not be too bad... making it stick though may be tricky.
I remember the
Krakatoa, showing a very portable and light weight shape charge that still did nice damage.
It was on wire legs in the video afterall so not like it was bolted down or anything and it pretty much blew up on the spot, sending forward a nasty payload.
So figure one were to slap a wider ring around the exit end with some alternating magnets & glue to hold it onto a variable target long enough get clear and set off the charge should be all you need.
Carries about 2lbs+ plastic so round up and call it 1 kilo so a 20 DV is not unreasonable (plastic explosives usually have between 6-25 DV rating times the square root of the kilo weight so x1 multiplier so no change in DV base.
When explosives are attached directly to a target, the target’s armor is halved; otherwise the explosive has an AP value of –2 so cuts through a lot of stuff nicely.
