In the words of one of my awesome NCOs, about one of my awesome former NCOs....
"To my military and EOD friends, If you're in EOD then you know or have heard about Frank Gibson. If you haven't, let me tell you a little about him. When I was born, he was in the Marines, on one of multiple tours, fighting the Tet Offensive. He's also served in the Navy doing hi-speed stuff and something in the Army Reserve. He's been a police officer and worked for the State Department in their International Policing efforts in the former Yugoslavia and East Timor. He left all that to go into the WA Army National Guard as a Specialist. While driving to Redstone he turned down a position in Cambodia working for the Khmer Rouge Tribunal. He is the oldest graduate from EOD School. He went immediately from school to Kuwait and later to Iraq. He tried unsuccessfully to transfer to Afghanistan but instead rotated home with his unit, the 319th EOD. Upon returning home it was discovered that his innards had been ravaged by Agent Orange. They removed all of his insides (only a slight exaggeration) yet he fought against a medical discharge in favor of deploying with us again. In short; Chuck Norris wears Frank Gibson Pajamas. Frank is a god damn American Hero. So what is Frank doing now? He's in the July 7th Great Strides Walk-A-Thon at the Tulalip Amphitheatre on behalf of his grandson Peter, to raise money for finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Let’s take care of our own and show Frank some love. If you can't give then at least consider sharing this."

And as a challenge to you -- if you can afford beer, you can afford to donate!!!
