Title: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Stuttrboy on <09-21-16/1505:25>
The Next Round is a cliche and that's part of its charm.  The fake wood paneling was the bright idea of the previous manager, put up to hide the yellowed tobacco stained walls.  The main bar isn't much to look at, the long bar with the old circular spinning stools bolted to the ground and two rows of booths.  The ork Gunderson sits at the booth furthest from the entrance an ever present fixture in this place.  Opposite him is the stairwell one flight leading up, one flight leading down.

Downstairs you know, you've spent more time there than the bar maybe.  The cage matches held downstairs are brutal and bloody just like people like them.  Standing at the staircase is the oddest pair you've ever seen.  A girl who looks like she's still in her teens wearing a red beret and a T-shirt with an anarchy symbol on it and a moderately sized troll with round Lennon glasses and a beatnik beard dreadlocks and a necklace of beads.  They stop anyone who doesn't belong upstairs or down and while they don't look all that threatening you've seen them take out the trash with a terrifying efficiency.  Upstairs is another story you have no idea what goes on other than the ghostly clack of billiards tables in use.

Ken has been serving you drinks for a while and chatting with you like normal though for the past few minutes you've been a little freaked out by the trid news.  It's strange even for the Barrens a pair of bodies have been found at the docks hanging from their own entrails and literally slashed to ribbons.  So far the KE have had no leads and something about the story has left you uneasy.

You see Gunderson looking at you and when you make eye contact he gestures to you with a thrust of his chin and nods at the seat in front of him.  The invitation is clear.

Cigz is sitting at the bar chatting with Ken when he gets the motion from Gunderson to join him. Hey Ken bring me and my table a few drinks, I'll be paying for it. Cigz gives a small head nod in the direction of Gunderson's table as he makes his request to Ken I think you know what the two of us are drinking so one more round should do the job. Cigz stands up smashing his smoke into the ash tray next to him. Grabbing his glass Cigz empties the last of the whisky in the glass down his throat then makes his way over to his local fixer. I wonder what is on Gunderson's mind tonight maybe I'll luck out and get a job. Best not get my hopes up nuyen is tight and I just dropped some on the both of us so I best not run out before I make some more. Cigz looks over at the girl by the stairs on his way over, Nice threads  Cigz is not a man of looks his nose is broken and he has been sporting a noticeable scar above his right eye for the last few years. The drek scar seems to pop from time to time in the ring, Cigz has learned to fight with blood in his eye and the house seems to cheer when it breaks, they do love there blood.

Cigz approaches Gunderson's table bows and addresses his fixer What can I do for you today Sir. Cigz waits for a reply and a more formal approval before sitting down.

Gunderson looks up from his PDA and not one to mince words he gets right down to business.  I got a job that I think you may be good at.  There's a guy goes by the name of Murphy, he owes me some money and he said he had a gig a few days back that would pay his debt to me.  He was supposed to deliver it yesterday and he's not answering his link.  I want you to find him and get me my money, if he doesn't have it you can get me his right hand instead.  Here's his address.  You can stop by and see if he's there if not maybe he left some clues where he's hiding out or you can ask around.

He goes back to looking at his PDA.

Cigz was about to turn and leave but decided he should see if he could get some more info before leaving. Sorry to bother you Sir but could you provide a picture of the target and maybe the total of nuyen owed before I head out. Cigz is hoping the drinks he orders will show up shortly so he can maybe get some points with Gunderson since he is dreaming of making a living as a shadowrunner and Gunderson holds the keys to that door.

Ken takes that moment to deliver the drinks.  Gunderson looks up from his PDA I didn't order this.

It's from Mr. Cigz, Ken replies.  Gunderson grunts at you as way of thanks.

No picture.  He owes me 5 grand.  I'd rather have the money than the hand, but either will do.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <09-22-16/2023:43>
Cigz is happy to of gotten a bit more info from Gunderson, might be a bit hard without a picture but Cigz should be able to manage. Cigz gives a bow to Gunderson and backs away. Thanks for the work Sir, I'll get right on the job. Enjoy your drink. Glad that the drinks arrived before he left on the mission Cigz gratefully maybe a bit too gratefully took his drink from Ken and headed back to his bar stole.

Ken I'll be heading out thanks for getting those drinks for me. Cigz lights his hand rolled smoke and starts to slam back his shot of whiskey. I can't get any more drinks from you today old chap but I'll see if we can meet up in a day or two. You hold down the fort well I head back to the living. With the last of his whiskey burning at his guts now Cigz heads for the door with smoke in hand. Cigz opens the door and heads out into the streets. The first strike of light to his eyes blinds Cigz for a second or two, the first beam of light is always the worst but that is the price you pay when you hold down in a fort like the one he just left.

Cigz decided to walk to the bar today not sure if he was going to be able to drive after the day turned to night in his old hang out, so he turns down the street and starts on his stumpier back to his small pad. Best to get geared up for this one and shake any drink effects then head out.

The four block walk to your flat is uneventful.  Taking a look at the address you realize it's barely half a mile from here.  it's an apartment complex above an old pawn shop.  You've done business there in the past.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <09-23-16/1539:56>
Cigz makes his way home from the bar a bit put off that he is unable to down drinks all day but at least he has work for a change. The nuyen he makes from this job should help him make rent next month no need living on the street when you can bust some sculls to keep processed soy on the table.

Cigz enters his apartment extinguishing his smoke in the ash tray on the wall on his way in. The building is not much to look at but it houses Cigz single bedroom crash pad so to him it is the center of the universe. Cigz opens the door to his apartment to find the air filled with the smell of day old pizza and smokes. Cigz bolts the door after stepping inside, time to gear up and make his rent. Cigz strolls across his living room to his bedroom he would lift the bed to pull out his smg for the job but today he thinks his pistol and fist can get the nuyen back, I hope I'm not wrong on this one. Cigz opens his side dresser and pulls out 4 extra clips 2 with gel rounds and 2 with solid kill you dead slugs then stuffs them in 2 separate pockets in his long coat. Walking out the bedroom door to his laundry stricken living room Cigz can't help but think how him and his brother use to share a pad back in the day, neithor where clean roommates but at least you had someone you can trust to watch your back in the streets, today Cigz had only himself to trust on this run from nuyen. Cigz crosses the living room to what might pass as a kitchen if it wasn't for the cheap appliances the building owner installed in all the apartments. Cigz turned the tap on happy to see it had water running today, grabbing a package from the cabinet Cigz fills a glass full then empties the packet of orange flavor into the glass hoping this would help wake him up from any of the effects the alcohol has done to his mind. Downing the glass of orange water Cigz figures he has all he needs to make an attempt to get Gunderson his nuyen back. Short ride to his house might pay off best to start there. Cigz grabs his resporator to aid in hiding his face and his backpack filled with his electronics tool kit then heads for his bike.

Cigz makes his way to his bike after locking up his crash pad. His dark blue ride has a few scraps and bruises on it a lot like Cigz face but it still run. This old thing should get me there quicker. Cigz is glad he spread out his drinking with talking with Ken or his head might be too swimming with booze to even try a ride on his blue two wheel rocket. Starting the engine Cigz heads on out to the address provided to him by Gunderson really wishing he had a picture of the guy it makes getting the right perp easier.

The old crotch rocket putters you through the dirty, rat-infested streets faster and instead of a 4 minute walk you pull up to the run down pawn shop a while 2 minutes faster.  You park your bike and head down the alley into the apartment complex.  There are two door and a flight of stairs, lucky you Murphy's apartment is on the second floor.  You can hear loud music playing from the room opposite his.  You knock, but there is no answer.  You try the door, but it is locked.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <09-24-16/1444:28>
Cigz is not pleased the door didn't open with a man willing to hand over his nuyen now this is going to take time out of his day. Cigz looks over the locks on the door and decides the best thing to do is gain entrance into the apartment one way or another. Cigz makes sure his respirator and armored hood are in place to keeps his face hidden. This might not be legal but most of the people in this part of Seattle understand collecting on debts owed. Pulling out his tool kit Cigz gets to work on the lock.

You feel the lock slip and you twist to retract the deadbolt.  Gotta love low-tech and this guy is really low tech.  You enter the flat which is not much more than a fold down hide-a-bed a desk with an actual console, a hot plate and a bathroom.  No one is home and the only place a clue could be found would be the console.

Cigz enters the room with his gun drawn not sure what he was going to find, half expecting to find his target dead in his bed Cigz is a bit let down not to see a rotting corpse to make his day easy. Great no one home this might take sometime. Cigz notices the console and hopes there will be intel on it that will aid him on his search for his mark. Wondering if the guy even uses a password to access the system Cigz gets his cyberdeck ready running his AR systems, but also just turns the console on well wearing his AR gloves. Lets see if I can juice your secrets out of you old junker.

You play with the old tech for a bit before you crack how it's used.  It appears to be files of puzzles and games mostly finished but not quite.  Something strikes you as odd about these files but you can't put your finger on it.

There's also a few selfies.

With the console up and running Cigz still wants to get into the under belly of the system and to do that he will have to hack into it, best get my deck ready and rolling. Cigz configures his deck uploads his programs and starts to crack into the console.

not wanting to leave with nothing but a few pictures Cigz decides to check over the strange files a bit closer. First his cyberdeck is optimized in order to give him a better chance at accessing the files. After the deck is ready he copies and pastes the selfies to his deck then starts reading the files that are almost completed puzzles. If needed he will crack the protected files to gain access to them.

There's no electronic encryption but something about these files is tickling the back of your memory.  You are sure there's something significant here but you just can't put your finger on it,  Maybe if you took them to some of your friends...

With the initial check through the console onsite being completed with very little solid leads Cigz decides best not stay in the apartment for too long. With his Cyberdeck Cigz proceeds to copy every file on the console to his deck. Maybe I can crack this system more once I'm off site. With his agent copying all the files on the console Cigz looks over a few selfies to hammer into his head Murphy's face, and tries to see if he can recall any rumors from the streets about this person.

You have some vague recollection that he's pulled a heist or two but nothing specific, so he's either professional or small time.  As low tech as his set up is, you're thinking the latter.  It takes almost no time for the files to download, you keep the selfies too in case you need to remind yourself what he looks like.

With the files downloaded it is time to leave the area. Making his exit from the building Cigz makes his way back to his bike. I need to head to a store When Cigz gets to his bike he will make his way to a store where he can acquire a knife. If he needs to take Murphy's right hand he will need something sharper then his deck to cut the thing off.Best make a call to some buds when I'm shopping maybe they can crack the console better then me

The knives are on the small side, maybe a serrated filleting knife.  Ooh there are some nice saws, and they are on sale only 50 nuyen.

Post by: Scawire on <09-30-16/1305:00>
Deciding between a knife and a saw is not fun, at first Cigz was going to jump on the idea of a saw but being low on nuyen it took him sometime to finally do it. With the new saw bought and on his way back to his apartment his mind starts to think what could the games be hidding. Maybe a lock box maybe an alarm. Good thing I didn't try to crack them on his system, if he returns home to find his game done he would know someone was in his crash pad.  Back at his apartment Cigz parks his bike and head to his small cut out hole in the wall pad. I best get on line and see if I can work with the team on this one, might not be that hard to crack, but best get started. Cigz sends a message to his group then sits down on his chair and dives into VR

A couple of guys meet you in the room they are skimming through the files and look up at you when you enter.

Freeze>>>I think I see why you wanted us to look at these.  They reminded me of old school cryptology.  Samwell here is a bit of an otaku when it comes to that stuff I thought I'd bring him in

Samwell>>> Yeah it appears that the numbers and words from these puzzles are a fairly advanced cypher.  I'm debugging a program I whipped up for these.  So far it looks like we have dates and times and short descriptions.  Can't quite make out anything yet but the sheer volume is really quite impressive.  I expect it is some kind of journal but why someone would go to this much trouble to encrypt a journal is beyond me.

Freeze>>>it's actually fairly impressive, any one with some computer skills and off the shelf programs can break electronic encryption.  It takes real skills to notice low tech cyphers anymore.  I almost didn't look at them twice, then I figured you must have some reason you wanted fresh eyes on this.

You drive to the storehouse it's not far from here about 2 miles.  You approach the storehouse listening for anything but don't hear anything, there's the strange smell of burning ham.  All the windows are boarded up, how do you want to play this.

I wish I was a full mage I could zip around this place and see into every corner instead I have to leg it through this place. I hope the locals are not the shoot at everything that moves types Cigz was going to walk in and see what info the local crew in the area would tell him, but not sure if that would work out well,, best to start off more covert.

Turning on AR Cigz starts to scan the area for any wi fi signals. Lets see what the matrix will tell me first. A bit worried about what is waiting eatting away at there hammed up meal. I hope the metas in the area are not wanting to cook my goose for stepping into there part of the barrens. I'll deal with them if I have to.

The store house isn't very big, maybe the size of a two story brownstone.  There is a loading bay and to the side is a couple of stairs leading up to a door.  The place seems pretty worn down and the roof has caved in at places.  The appears to be a comlink running silent inside but you do not detect anything else wireless in the building,
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <10-08-16/1451:15>
Staying as hidden as he can Cigz scans the area for wi fi, finding only one silent wi fi he figures this is most likely not a major gang hide out. Walking out from his best hidden place the area had to offer he makes his way over to the building checking the walls and surrounding area for cameras thinking maybe one might have seen the meeting..... not likely. Lets see what the ham cookers are up to.  Cigz heads for the stairs to the door to see if he can talk to the locals in the area. I never like talking to people if I don't have to, but I need to get on the good side of Gunderson maybe this job will help. At the door to the storage house Cigz doors twice and waits to see who will open the door.

When you enter there is bad news and worse new.  First of all you won't be talking the this guy, it take you a little while to find the head in fact.  The body is strung up by its intestines only his skeleton and thin strips of meet keep the lower half of the body from falling off.  There's a surprising lack of blood.  There's some of course but there should be pools, all there is is splatter and a mark high up enough on a basket ball goal, underneath it you find the head.  It's eyes poked out.  The rage apparent in this scene is obvious.

Walking into the storehouse ground Cigs is expecting to find a few homeless people he could maybe buy a lead off of but to his shock he stumbles onto last nights horror. Drek this is a nightmare, who or what the hell did this to him. In a small state of shock he reaches into his Black long coat's jacket and pulls out a smoke and lights it up. Looks like they took the head clean off, this doesn't look normal to me. After a few drags of his smoke Cigs decides it would be a good idea to see who the victim is. Walking over to the head used as a play toy for something that is most likely not metahuman he takes in the area to see if he can spot a camera or more evidence he could use to figure what the hell took place. Once at the head he does his best to look over the face hoping he will be able to see who it was that got slammed dunked.

You can tell by the head this isn't Murphy.  The only wireless thing in the room is the metalink on the body  It's high up enough that you would need something to stand on to reach it but there's enough junk to that pretty easily, the guy is a mess though.  You would have to walk through a pile of viscera to do so.  This is touristville the cops would come here for something like this.  Maybe it would be best to let them handle it, but then again this is the best lead to find Murphy that you have.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <10-12-16/2125:07>
Cigz was half hoping this corpse was going to be Murphy but no such luck today, so the chase is still on. Best grab that comm link and get out of here. He tip toes his way through the splattered guts of the guy as he does his best to grab a hold of the comm link. Cigz does his best to make haste well at the same time not leave any tell tale marks behind flagging his identity to the cops that will be here to mop up what ever is left of this guy. Once in possession of the comm link Cigz will leave the area on his bike and head to an safe street or ally to crack into it. No way am I going home or to a location I regular with this dead guys tech.

You cover your hands to push a crate over to the body.  It plows a trail through the blood and entrails that has congealed enough not to flow back in to the gap.  You walk slowly through the muck so as not to splatter your self but you don't know if you will ever be able to look at your shoes without reliving this memory.  You step up on the box and fish his comlink out of a torn and blood stained pocket.  You exit the building quickly and kick up some dust to get some of the filth off your shoes and cover the rest of it then retreat a few blocks to hack it.

There's not much on it except a tag for a no-tel about a mile away.

Cigz guns a smoke as he hacks into the phone. Once inside he is a bit down there is not much on it. Disturbed a crime scene for this I got to starting thinking things out better With a location in mind he hopes on his bike well killing the comm links signal then heads on out to the new location, maybe this new site will have a better lead to this mark.

You pull up to the No-tel motel.  The only light is the flickering display sign.  The room on the com was 242, that's going to be upstairs near the darkened office.  You stop, something is not right here.

Something is rubbing Cigz wrong about this place he decides he best to take it slow instead of running head first into his bloody death. A Once over of the out side might give me a better idea of what to expect. Slowly walking the block around the hotel Cigz does his best to get a better felling for what is going on here. With a Smoke on his lips Cigz hopes this running is going to pay off with nuyen or at least have Gunderson remember him for future more lucrative jobs.

After circling the place and really checking it out you realize what's been bugging you.  The street sign is on, what is an all night hotel doing with the lights out in the office?

Great this looks bad maybe someone or something has already gotten here and torn the runner to small bits, lets move in cautiously and hope nothing tries to turn me into the same swish cheese as the last guy I found. Cigz moves towards the hotel then does his best to move to room 242 with out getting spotted. As he nears the room he draws his gun hoping he will not have to use it but sure something went side ways at this hotel and he is not into turning into an inside out meta any time soon.

Creeping up to the door Cigz is ready to start blasting if this goes south. In his mind is still the blacked out front office, what could have happened, a robbery a murder maybe he should check it out after the scanning of the hotel room. cigz spots the maglock, and decides to break in. holstering his pistol he pulls out his electronics kit and starts to get to work on removing the casing then hotwiring the lock.

Your hand freezes as it touches the door.  Fear grips your mind and you cannot seem to bring yourself to open the door as a chittering noise comes from the room in the cadence and rhythm of speech but you cannot make out the words.  You are not even sure you want to make out the words as the fear tightens its grip on you and every instinct in you screams at you to flee.

You can't seem to bring yourself to take in the entire scene at once.  There is blood everywhere, the walls the ceiling and the is flicking a spray of blood in a jagged circular pattern.  Then you can focus on the body.  this is Murphy and you think he's still alive from the shuddering and moans as his entrails are drawn up out of his body.  Now inside you hear the chattering again and this time the voice is much more clear.  You still have trouble making out what it say but what you can make out it seems to be accusing Murphy of some crime.  saying things like "do you even remember their names" ,  "It should have been me"  and "you will pay for what you've done."  Finally the "thing"  turns toward you, you can barely look right at it.  It's not just thin, it's gaunt.  It stands on spindly legs and at the end of the arm wrapped in bloody guaze are talons the size of combat knives.  It turns to get a better look at the new intruder and you notice is is wearing a hideous bandana that looks like a huge grin with sharp teeth and dripping with a black ichor.  The chattering  begins again and it speaks and you can see it isn't actually a bandanna the creatures smile reaches back to its ears  and it's lips drawn back into a permanent grin,

Leave here and bother me no more.  These men are getting what is their due.  You don't need to be added to the tally.

Cigz can not believe the horror he is witnessing. His choices are to leave and come back later for a hand or fight for these metas lives. Drek this is a nightmare, time to roll Cigz does his best to move at his adapted lightning speed, he levels his pistol at the monster in the room and opens fire. I wish I brought my SMG this thing is looking to chew on my soul. Now is the time to see if this run was worth the nuyen he was going to maybe get paid later.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Stuttrboy on <11-18-16/2028:24>
The creature roars as you fire the first shot goes wide but the second connects but it seems to brush it off.  It grabs Murphy, who had been trying to hold his guts in and rips him it's claws ripping and tearing away chunks of flesh and throws the now crumpled form at you bowling you over.  The creature dashed out of the room and into the night bounding faster than anything that large or gangley should be able to move.  Murphy breathes his last as you push him off of you covering you in blood and bile.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <11-19-16/1950:43>
Taking a few breaths to shake off the last of the horror coursing through his body Cigz then moves forward cautiously to double check on Murphy. Drek did that thing ever do a number on you. I was trying to save your life, but it seems that creature finished you off. I guess your not going to be missing this... Cigz pulls out his saw and detaches Murphy's right hand from the mangled corpse. (that is if he is sure that he is dead.) With the hand in bag Cigz checks the body for anything worth stealling for a few extra nuyen. Then will grab the loot and make a run home to change then to the black market to pawn off his findings.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Stuttrboy on <11-26-16/1846:40>
You finish the gory work of sawing Murphy's hand off  and put it in your bag.  There isn't much else here but a cred stick and metalink, but you don't think you have much time to do a thorough check of the room.  You gather your things up and jet back home to change cloths and get a much needed shower.  Your realize your bike is also covered in blood when you get home.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <11-28-16/1359:20>
Cigz arrives home and has his quick shower then gets out thinking to himself. What the drek was that thing I need to see if I can find out anything about that nightmare of a monster but best finish off this job first. Cigz gets dressed then pulls out the cred stick to find out what is on it. After running the cred stick through a scanner to find out how much coin is on the thing Cigz heads out side and does his best to clean all the blood off his bike. After he is sure that he will not stand out like a bloody criminal he heads down to his friend at the black market hoping to sell both his hot comm links he has found. After he pawns off his comm links it will be off to find Gunderson and let him know what happened to Murphy.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Stuttrboy on <11-29-16/2322:05>
The cred stick has a 200 nuyen on it and you know better than trying to pawn off a metalink, you can probably scavenge some electronic components from it though.  You clean off the bike but have to change clothes again after cleaning it  from the mess.  The hairs on the back of your neck stand up while you are cleaning your bike that puts you on edge.  Your danger sense is tingling a bit, but not quite on full on danger mode.  Then again, you might just be jumpy, and who wouldn't after what you had just witnessed.
nothing is happening right now so continue with what you are doing but give me a visual perception test.
Still shaken by his encounter with some strange nightmare earlier Cigz does his best to clean off his bike when he body starts jumping, getting himself to kill if he needs to. What the drek that dame thing best not be around here.  Cigz can't help but wonder if the creature of death had fallowed him home, no way of really knowing for sure horror starts to touch on his nerves again. Cigz does his best to start actively scan the area for any sign of danger hoping he doesn't catch a glimpse of the monster from earlier.

Maybe you are just being paranoid, or maybe that bum in the alley is watching you a little too much.  Then again you are cleaning blood off of a bike out in the open and the few people out this early have taken notice.  All that's left now is a hand in a bloody sack and telling your chums about the nights progress.

Just bring it by the bar, like I said.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <12-09-16/1156:49>
Drek I forgot he said to bring it by the bar, guess with all the action it slipped my mind. Cigz takes his last drag from his smoke then crushes it under his boot. Time to roll.  Cigz gets on his bike, starts the engine doing one last check around to see if he notices anything out of the ordinary then kicks up dust. He shows up at the bar glad this job is over then creature of the night might still be roaming the streets but at least so is Cigz. Walking through the door to the bar Cigz scans the area for Gunderson as he resists the temptation to light a smoke since he is about to meet with his boss. Once he spots Gunderson he makes his way over to his table. At the table he bows to him and greets him.

Gunderson sir the job is done. I can fill you in on all the details if you would like. I was unable to retrieve the nuyen so I have his hand here. Murphy is no longer among the living but it was not me that geeked him.

Cigz waits for a reply to see if Gunderson wants to hear the whole story.

Gunderson mumbles into his com link and a few minutes later a couple of his boys come in with a suit.  The suit takes a swab of the blood pops it into a kit.  Then gets busy at another table doing something you can't quite see from your angle.

Someone else geeked him huh?  Who was this?

Cigz calms himself as he runs through images of the bloody end of Murphy. I found Murphy in a hotel when I got there I accessed his room to find a paranormal creature of some kind attacking Murphy. I tried to assist Murphy in surviving the encounter but the creature was not stopped, and proceeded to end Mr Murphy's life. The paranormal creature was very slim build with razor sharp claws the size of knifes..... Cigz did his best to describe the creature in detail to Gundrson to the best of his ability, the whole time wishing he was a street sammy with cyber eyes so you could show him a picture. After completing his description Cigz finishes off Since this para creature geeked Murphy I was unable to retrieve your much deserved nuyen. Sorry about that Sir. Cigz waits to see what Gunderson wants to say or do.

As you describe the creature Gunderson squints leans on his elbows, folds his hands and steeples his fingers.  A few moments the suit nods at Gunderson and says It's a match...the er, cut appears to have been made antemortem, however.

Still alive?  After all that?  That creature...I don't like this.  Cigz secure the body.  I'll have a team out there to retrieve it.

Oh yeah.  For the hand. he slides a credstick over to you.

Cigz bows as he grabs the credstick. Thank you sir, If there is anything else I can help you with just let me know. Cigz waits for Gunderson to dismiss him before he leaves.

Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz
Post by: Scawire on <12-26-16/1139:49>
Cigz bows to Gunderson then heads out. As he passes the bar he mouth waters wishing he could wet his whistle with a glass of whiskey but he apparently is still on the clock. On his way out he lights a smoke and starts to drag hard on his smoke. Once outside he does his best to finish his smoke as fast as he can. With his smoke done he crushes it under his boot then takes off on his bike wishing he didn't waste time cleaning his bike as much as he did. Cigz arrives at the hotel and begins to scan the area to see if anyone has spotted the corpse in the room yet. If he feels safe he will head to the room to secure the body.
Title: Re: [IC] Prelude: Cigz

There doesn't appear to be any undue notice apparently this place doesn't do much business.  Once you reach the room where you found the creature and Murphy you find the door open and a pool of blood where you had been knocked over.  Everything seems as you left it except for the missing body.

Cigz looks over the room Drek I was too late best let gunderson know Cigz leaves the area on his bike, when he gets back to the bar he takes in the sweet smell of smoke and alcohol as he goes to Gundersons table. Sir I was unable to secure the package when I arrived at the hotel the package was already gone.  Cigz is not happy giving his boss bad news since this is the guy that can make Cigz life as a runner come true.

Hunt the thing down drek that thing took a solid shot and didn't flinch this will be a hell of a fight  Cigz bows then takes his leave. Walking out the door he was wishing he was gutting phones and sipping back some sweet whisky but this is the stuff he has to do to keep his bills paid. Cigz rides his bike back to the hotel and waits to for Gundersons people to arrive.

Cigz bows at Gunderson  Sorry for any inconveniences,  it has been a pleasure doing business with you  Cigz walks over to the bar and orders himself a 50 dollar bottle of whiskey  Can I get a bottle of Black Rock whiskey The whiskey was made just outside of town in the ork area it was a cheap bottle since the town got a deal from the orks that made the stuff. Cigz thanks the Bartender for the bottle then strolls out light a blue silk Ares smoke. At his bike he calls up a small play list of songs to listen too on his ride home, goblin rock first song was a nice number from the night wolves. Putting out his smoke Cigz gets on his bike and heads home.
Back at his pad Cigz parks his bike and heads inside checking the area still a bit convinced that drekking creature fallowed him home and was going to try and tare him apart. Inside his room Cigz checks the nuyen amount on the cred stick he got for the job hoping this would pay his rent.  After which he pulls out his electronics kit and starts to gut his two new comm links. As he guts his nice electronic toys he calls up a message to his hacker group Freeze Code.

Cigz stops gutting the comm links a grabs a glass a pores himself a glass of Black rock whisky then begins his story.

So guys I get ;hired to locate a person that owed my employer a few thousand nuyen. I gound some info that you guys thankfully helped me track a corpse down, the corpse was ripped apart but their comm link lead me to the person I was looking for. I found the mark at a hotel when I got there I found he was not alone there was some paranormal creature tearing him apart I tried to help save his life but the creature got the best of him. I was able to finish the job with a corpse instead of an alive meta and the nuyen.
The thing is the creature has me worried I put a shot in it and it never dropped, maybe you guy could help find out what the drek that thing was. The creature was skinny with an evil grin that took up most of its head....

... Cigz did his best to describe the creature from skin color to it ghastly eyes doing his best not to miss anything he could remember.

So guys any of you have any info on what I got on my hand it would help out a lot.

With his story done Cigz sips on his whisky and lights a blue silk smoke and waits to see if the team has anything about the creature.
