I think they could do a more mainstream acceptable one that will do a better job staying on air.  I mean seriously, it couldn't be as bad as the Knight Rider remake.

Which one?

Knight Rider 2000
Knight Rider 2010
Team Knight Rider
Knight Rider (2008 series)

Yes.

Although I did enjoy the 2008 series, but that was because I was expecting Goliath with a Cybernetic Garthe Knight and the original KARR's AI.

And really wanted to see a race between the Knight Industries 2000 versus the Knight Industries 4000.

The transformation mode, however, really ruined things I believe.  Especially when KITT became a PEDO VAN!

The official NBC one.  I consider the one that went straight to syndication a sequal.

Sad that the series ended just when a good metaplot was beginning to develop. A fate shared with so many other shows, Firefly being among such.

Buffy jumped the shark because Joss Whedon get's bored after a while
Tech dreams of organic toys
And I'm runnin' out on the edge
Soft screams of the rockerboys

So why can't we get great '80's Era TV li,li,li,like that a-a-a-a-anymore?

Because that requires writers and people who want to be creative, neither of which are available on Reality TV.

no, it requires that the networks let shows grow for more than a quarter season before axing it, because they put it up against something like american idol. yes crappy shows should die, but we need a different measuring stick than how much profit the network is getting from all the ads.

unfortunately it'll never happen.
Carpe Noctem (seize the night)
Carpe per Diem (seize the pay), Carpe Dentum (seize the teeth), Carpe Denim (seize the pants)
Carpe Panem (seize the bread/capital)

no, i won't "just get over it."

NERPS!! for idiocy! NERPS!! for the minty fresh feeling! NERPS!! for gods! NERPS!! for guard duty!

Which are why some of the best shows are on cable/pay channels. They already know they won't beat those numbers, so any good numbers are worth pursuing.

I have been thinking that if this show did have a revamp now, after movies like the Matrix and with the internet and computers becoming ubiquitous, it might have a better chance of survival than it did in the pre-internet late 1980s.
