Well, like I've said elsewhere, this is one of those situations where balance and story for a computer game comes up hard against established canon in the main (tabletop) universe.  I personally think that core Shadowrun is going to be painted into a corner by the video games because of these things; as far as I can tell, the designers and writers for the computer games aren't double-checking core canon, and are therefore making shit up as they feel like it.

But still, this could be an issue with 'gotta keep the bargains you made'.  Or just a lie; I don't imagine the long-term effects of her supposed departure are covered within the SRHK gameplay, so you honestly couldn't say one way or the other if she actually left, or simply appeared to.  *shrugs*

Of course she is gonna be pissed when it turns out she just slipped away for a 2 week holiday at Club Dread, using the old 'being banished off to the old world due to a derpy promise' excuse and comes back to find all her stuff has been jacked by everyone who thought she was gone for good. :P
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

I remember asking on the shadowrun.com forums if the stories of Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall were considered canon with the universe of the PnP game, and Mitch from HBS simply answered "We don't decide what's canon."
So as far as they're concerned, they're basically doing their own, alternate SR universe.

Which is something that apparently needs to be clarified by the PTB for SR Tabletop.

What are the Yama Kings?

- A hell of a lot of fun to run for a group of players who were raised on and still have PTSD from horror RPGs, that's what.

Our campaign is based in HK and our runners have run into one King so far.

There are references to them being powerful free spirits (shadow variant) that either gained freedom after summoning or escaped via the astral shallows in Aberdeen district of HK.

The references have all been pointed out already:
Runners Havens
Corporate Intrigue
Ghost Cartels

They get statted in all three books I believe.
Where they are explicitly called out as Shadow Spirits.

So there you go.

Shadow Spirits that by chance just have a similar MO to Horrors? Unusual but I'll take it.

Wraiths are a type of shadow spirit. And if I remember correctly, Harley once had a mini-freak out over them, posting something along the lines of "These things are evil. Destroy them whenever you can."
Perhaps the metaplane of shadows is closer to Horrors domain than others?

Shadow spirits and Shedim are precursors, like the invae. They are not the Enemy, nor even his vanguard, but the birds and beasts driven before the army on the march.

Or perhaps closer to scavengers hanging around because they know a nice meal is in the works.
