Hello all,

Just a quick question as i am tinkering with a char in a game i am playing (we are allowed to, as whole group is new to the system). Is it possible to buy ranks in skill via karma, but spend skill point to put a specialization on the said skill ?

via karma a specialisation is 7 karma.

but you can use one skillpoint from chargen for a specialisation to (but not more then one per skill at chargen).

I know, let me put my question into an example

I buy 1 Etiquette with 2 karma, can i then, at chargen, spend 1 skill point on Etiquette to give it Specialization for example Corporate ? Or am i unable to spend skill points on that spec as i spent Karma to obtain a skill

No. Karma spending comes after all priority allocation is done.
