I'm looking for some OP/Broken characters, I'm sure some people have some out there.

What do I mean by broken/OP? I mean characters so specialized in that one thing that they cannot possibly do better at it without stealing weapon foci from the gods.

In general, I'm looking for characters in the 400-450 BP range.

So, post your crazy one-dimensional dicegrinders, your physadepts who do 15DV, your hackers who can't bekept out of a node and so on. I'm looking for Ideas.

Pornomancer would look something like this:

Race:
Elf ->Dryad

Qualities:
Adept
Mentor Spirit (Seductress)
First Impression
Class II Surge
Metagenetic improvement Charisma

Attributes:
Charisma 10/10 (13/15)
Magic 5/6 (4/5)

Skills:
Con (Seduction) 6 (9) (+2)

Magic:
Kinesics 3
Improved Con 3
Heightened Concentration from DG to ignore negative modifiers due to hostility

Bioware: 1 Ess worth
Tailored Phermones 3 - .6 Ess
Genetic Optimization (Charisma) - .2 Ess
Enhanced Pheremone Receptors R3 - .1 Ess
Moderate Biosculpting - .1 Ess

Gear:
Doses of eX
Emotitoy R6

Cha 13 + skill 9 +spec 2 + eX 1 +kinesics 3 + Dryad (glamour) 3 + emotitoy 6 + EPR 2 +mentor 2 + first imp 2 +Biosculpting 2= Con 45 with no negative modifiers will instantly make anyone fall in love with you.

A more "playable" build would take the social skill group and probably improved Leadership instead of dumping everything on Con (Seduction).
This loses a few dice, but using the Commanding Voice adept power with 30+ dice is ridiculously powerful in combat, and still plenty to get pretty much anything done by anyone if Pornomancer sets his/her mind to it.

you really forgot the metagenetic quality glamour I think
Also you can get a whole group of emotitoys to make them assist you... in a teamwork test

I got some absolutely unplayable sniper build it mainly goes like this:
elf, surge metagenetic improvement agility genetic optimization agility, 2 cyberarms with customized and enhance agility, aptitude longarms, reflex recorder longarms adept with 2 magic and improved combat skill longarms the sniper quality form street samurai get max edge, specialization in sniper rifles, get a barrett with AV ammo (anti tank ammo in game it has too much availability though for chargen)
I dunno atm if the cybertorso fits in at all it makes a difference of 2 dice... you get a dice pool of ~37 when aiming for 10 consecutive actions + 6 for edge + reroll 6es... or probably better reroll nonsuccesses ;)

Speech - Thought - Matrix
Characters: Andy - Andys rolls

Nope, he didn't.  He gets it from being a Dryad.

Like he said, a good all-around face with commanding voice is better.  A pornomancer is good at one thing which is a mixed blessing ("You seduce the troll.  Soak 5S damage").

Like any good OP build, it has things the GM might question (Does geneware let you get the revised Attribute maximum at character creation?  This also assumes the optional rule that biosculpting can raise Charisma.  Do social skill modifiers really apply to commanding voice - and if they do, what about all of the modifiers for things like not being in the chain of command or being an enemy?  Can heightened concentration really negate social modifiers?  I don't have DG, but either that is a very liberal reading of the power, or the power is very poorly written, because that makes no sense).

The problem with hyperfocused builds is that they sacrifice versatility for overkill.  From a gaming perspective, they are boring - you succeed without fanfare every time in your specialty, and can't meaningfully contribute outside of your specialty; a recipe for boredom.  From a metagaming perspective, it is self-defeating, because builds like this draw negative attention, and you get hit with attacks designed to overcome your nearly-invincible abilities, or target your weak areas outside of your specialty.  Even good GMs will do this, to challenge you.  A lumbering troll tank with 52 dice for soaking damage will get hit with missiles and kitchen sinks.  A troll with 28 dice for soaking damage will fly under the GM's radar more; he is tough but not invincible.  And the second character will be likelier to have more initiative passes and better combat dice pools because he is not focused solely on damage soaking.

But only useful when fighting Japanese schoolgirls!  ;)

*Edit:* Doh! And also good against sex ninjas! I forgot about the sex ninjas!

Somewhere on here there was a thread about making a pornomancer with the most dice possible; if I remember correctly, someone had a build that was around 50ish dice for con.

If I ever had a player sit down with a pornomancer at 400 BP, I think I'd beat them with a phonebook.

If anyone ever hit me with a phonebook or even pretended, I'd absolutely punch them.

The closest I have come to that is a concept character for a mystic adept/face I played around with to test my character building knowledge; 24 dice in negotiation, only 20 dice in con and etiquette, and some decent dice for spellcasting (high teens if I remember correctly). Not close to the pornomancer builds I've seen, but I wanted him to be effective at what he did.

*Edit:* Actually, the social skills were probably higher; I gave him rating 6 empathy software, along with the tools to use them. I just didn't factor it in, as I didn't know how it really worked.

Simmer down, now, tough guy.

It's a metaphor.

Besides, tradition dictates that, before applying the phone book, you should be firmly secured to a chair with handcuffs, cable ties, or duct tape, to avoid such a scenario.  :P

Fair enough. If I was tired to a chair, I probably wouldn't punch the person. I might even be thankful that they're not hiring me with something worse.

If you are looking at OP characters, there is the abomination that I posted in another thread.  He is a mix of close combat specialist and tank.
