FastJack without derailing the thread. Is that separate essence (or 1/2 of one + all of another type) come from the SR4A book, or is it from Augmentations? I ask b.c. my GM has limited us to SR4A and I have yet to see anything about Bioware vs Cyberware. Seems to me like Bioware costs ALOT less in essence, but that it comes out of the same pool of 6 that everyone has just like Cyberware.

Essence Cost: All cyberware and bioware implants have an Essence cost, representing the reduction of the character’s Essence rating that occurs when the ’ware is implanted. Essence costs for cyberware and bioware are tracked separately; subtract the higher value in full from the character’s Essence, but only half the lesser value (Essence, p. 68).

It does come out of the same essence.
