Egads.

If you tell me that you have all the Shadowtalk seperated, so you can produce everyone's lines on demand (IE, What has Stone ever posted?), then I'll just fall over and die.

No, but it's easy to collect them all in aggregate Acrobat searches.

You know, I think the only thing I've ever used Acrobat for was to read a PDF and/or to print it. I didn't even know it *had* a search function.

Gee Wak, how about you, I don't know, push buttons sometime. Sheesh.

Oh, yeah.  PDF searching can be a real lifesaver.  Funny, the tricks we learn for freelancing that then carry over into post-graduate work so well.  ;)

Back in '84, my honors class were the first ones in teh state to get a computer lab. In '90, I went into university as a computer major. I was using DARPnet via our university connection, grabbed Lynx, a non-graphical browser, as the World Wide Web was invented, andmarveled at Netscape's abiliity to bring pictures.

And today, I'm flailing at a keyboard, finding basicfunctions in software I've had for a decade.

At least you didn't wreck your arm and turn your typing to crap like I did.

You sure you didn't always type that way, CanRay?  ;)

Really, to make the best of everything, we need all the older stuff PDFed - if only the text.

Yes.  I used to be in the top 2% of Data Entry Clerks in terms of speed.

Now, I'd be lucky to type fast enough to keep the job.

According to the research spoken of by David Dobbs in National Geographic, your mid-twenties.  Before that, being seen as cool is more important than debilitating lifelong injury.  After that, adaptive flexibility turns into faster neuron speed - or in SR game terms, the little otaku bippies go Fading.

Shadowland Posters note:  Wyrm-Watcher is most likely the same as the more verbose Wyrm Watcher.

Hmm... Surprised my code didn't catch that. Although, I think it's because there were a few books since the last time Wyrm Watcher posted. I'll take a look and update ASAP.
