I've got friends (who may as well be family) over there.  It puts a very personal face on this sort of thing when, a few minutes before the news hits, you're looking over the just-posted Facebook photo album of a little girl's first birthday party.

I've had a steady stream of prayers, good vibes, mojo, positive thoughts, and heart-wrenching concern on my way across the Pacific to them since the news broke.

Good luck to those folks... seems like every time I hit CNN's site, the news is worse than it was before. Heart goes out to them...
