Can Tattletale Complex Form cause GOD to smite an innocent?

Example: Nate the Technomancer is hanging out in his favorite Coffee shop, reading an AR book. He keeps getting distracted by two obnoxious corporate mid level managers talking way too loud and making inappropriate comments about the girl working the counter.  After asking nicely to keep their voices down and show a little respect, one guy responds with a rude comment and gesture, while the other one laughs. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Nate threads two complex forms, first hitting Asshat 1's commlink with Tattletale, then hitting Asshat 2's commlink with a Tattletale. (We'll say he's averaging 4 net successes per attempt and taking no Fading damage.) He's not even breaking a sweat, he decides to hit each commlink six more times with the Complex Form, then Nate Erases his Resonance signatures and reboots his Biological Node, That should give everyone in the coffee shop a nice little karmic justice show before lunch is over..

I am wondering what would happen in average situation, if Tattletale was threaded onto a Commlink of random person. In less than 2 hours, GOD would converge on that person right?  (2D6 average roll 7, +7 to overmatched every 15 minutes. 40/7, about 6 rolls to get to 40.) So unless random person reboots commlink, he or she is going to have a really bad day right??

1) Be sure to 'reboot' your persona to clear your own Overwatch Score from taking those actions.
2) If GOD sends the local cops in, do you REALLY want to be in the room, in case they decided to make a 'random' SIN check and look hard at the licenses of everyone in the place? Sure, it probably won't happen, but when GOD is coming down, best to assume the worst.

It's a coffee shop, which may or may not serve pastries and/or doughnuts.

Our hacker in question won't have time to vacate the premises before some sort of copper turns up, so sitting tight and playing it cool will probably be safer than trying to exit at a brisk pace as they pull up.

But yeah, best hope your fake is up to snuff.

I don't believe Tattletale causes you to gain Overwatch. It is not opposed test. Erasing Matrix Resonance signature Does get GOD's attention though. We will assume for this scenario that Nate has a Real SIN or a Really good fake one.

Resonance actions do not cause OW.

Some actions you can perform as a technomancer are Resonance actions. These actions only operate in the Matrix, but they’re not Matrix actions and don’t follow those rules. The bad news is that you don’t get the bonus dice for being in VR (those only come with Matrix Actions), but the good news is that none of it counts against your Overwatch Score. Resonance actions don’t require marks. You can still perform normal Matrix actions, with all the rules that apply to them (including Overwatch Scores).

Indeed, also if they're a legally employed Spider/GOD Enforcer they can never have an Overwatch Score.

Woops, forgot about that one.  Yeah, this is pretty much a no-go.  Unless they happen to have an attack or sleaze dongle on their comms you can't even give them an attack or sleaze attribute with which to force them to do an illegal action.    Hrm, yeah, I just don't see any way to make it actually work.  You *might* be able to do something funky with Resonance Veil to make GOD think they did something illegal thus tricking GOD into giving them an OW.  But that's getting pretty far into GM fiat territory.  Don't really think I'd allow that without out some astronomical number of successes on the RV.  And you'd be risking getting GODs attention in a really aggressive way.

Neat idea though!  I'd give ya a NERPs for that one even though it won't fly.
