Maybe I'm just old, but I want more punks...
Or rockers ala SR1? :)
Maybe in a LA campaign.

Or using the Metal Tradition that was put up here awhile back...  Yeah, a Metal Magician Rocker.

"Comeback?"  Do you guys have any idea how popular and profitable country music is right now?  Three of the nation's top-ten selling artists (including #1 and #3) are in country right now.

I'd also point out that there's a couple big name country stars that are Canadian.  And I live in northern Ohio, and Country's pretty popular out here.

So it's not just a "South" thing.

Agreed. It is a "places not fortunate enough to have Rock" thing.

North and South here indeed, which means massively different things in Canada than it does in the US.

I don't get this either.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is just around the corner from me.

I'll let you in on a secret.  I have a Satellite Radio in my van.  I have three stations I primarily listen to:  The comedy station, The Boneyard (Classic Hard Rock, Metallica, AC/DC, Judas Priest, iron Maiden, etc), and Prime Country (Mostly late 80's/early 90's Country).

I love me some rock.  Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a huge AC/DC fan.  But there's a lot of really good, fun country out there too.  (And hey, if you like any of The Eagles or Lynyrd Skynyrd?  You like Country too.  :))

I have for a variety of reasons, very little love for Southern pop culture (read: I'm raised in the north, mixed heritage, fairly liberal).

That said, I've got nothing but love for Johnny Cash and country music of that ilk. I think country gets lumped in with the rest of the "Red State" stuff for a lot of people (NASCAR, Larry the Cable Guy, etc.). Even setting politics aside, there's a pretty wide scope of country, from stuff that isn't too far from rock to straight-up hillbilly music.

I'll find NASCAR interesting when they try it Canadian style.

True story: I went through a brief period where I was obsessed with NASCAR Racing 2 of the PC as a kid.

I know, but there is a lot of music to happen between now and the 2080's, hence my use of the term "comeback".

Fun Fact:  Bull the Ork Decker is a country music fan.  Bull's twin children were named Reba and Billy for a reason (Though the GM came up with the names, Bull's wife was a country fan too. :)

(It had nothing to do with the fact I liked Country some...  i'm not a huge fan, but I do like it.  It was more because it was an early running joke with another player that we would both try and get the DJ at the bar we hung out at to play "our" music...  Country for me, Classic Bruce Spingsteen for him)
