Hey there people!
Runner's Toolkit is rushing toward a wonderful conclusion, and we decided to give you all a voice in the final shape of a part of it--namely, the back of the GM screen. We've got two great images of the Seattle skyline, the red one and the blue one, and we need to know which one you like. So head on over to the blog (http://www.shadowrun4.com (http://www.shadowrun4.com)), take a look at the options, then vote! Voting closes Sunday night!

Blue. Looks like a wonderful night scene which is perfect for Shadowruns.
-
Red, the color of BLOOD. And if I had my choice, it would be Victoria Harbor and the Hong Kong skyline. But I'm biased that way. ;D
-
I agree with CanRay. Blue looks better, but I say print half-count blue & half-count red.
-
can we have a green one ? ;D
someone had to say it lol
i prefer the red one, you can see some more details than in the other one ( well that is what appears to me on the portfiolo for the sr4a limited edition ) geek power arise !!
-
The blue syncs better with the new color-scheme.
-
Blue. Night time is the right time...for running the Shadows!
-
The blue syncs better and it looks like "Seattle by Night" proess for Runners
:)
-
The blue one is perfect in my opinion. ;D
As a side question : will the toolkit be available as a pdf product ?
if the answer is yes, Will the GM screen be a part of the package ?
-
Blue without a doubt

I could make a joke about US political affiliations...but nah. And like secret ballot, I'M NOT TELLING neener-neener-neener!
;D
Both look cool however.
-
Definitely blue. Helps set the mood better than the red one. For my games, at least.
-
in runner havens they describe the "Emerald city" AR I would love that as my GM screen but as there are only two choices I like the Red
-
Hoi!
Well, blue is the night sky one, but me thinks the red one gives a better impression of the nice skyline pic.
Greetings from Carbonado!

Blue. It´s night time...

Green! No bl-!
AAAAAUUUGGHHHhhhhh...

We're working on the exact details of this. My current position is that I would like to answer "Yes" to both questions, but we'll see how this works out in the end.

Thank you for the quick answer.
Count one buyer for an electronic version (if it released) and for the printed one
;).
-
Blue for the night sky aspect. That and red one already on the Seattle book.
-
I vote Blue.
-
Blue looks much better.
-
Poor Team Red. They never get any love.
-
Blue just looks nicer. Its got that nocturnal feel to it that says 'Time to play in the shadows chummer!".
-
Just one....I pick the blue one. But what I'd really like to see is a split shot. Split the screen along a diagonal, upper right to lower left, with the left hand being red and the right being the blue. I think that would be awesome!

That actually sounds really interesting. That said, of the choices available, definitely blue.
-
The Blue One
for the German Chummers: Schwarz zu Blau ;)
And for the American Chummers
there is a really fitting German song by Peter Fox from Seeed called "Black to Blue" its about the Berlin Nightlife ,and when its very early and the Sun starts to rise and the Sky turns from Black to Blue
He who Dances to Seeed

That was a hard vote but the red isn't used much so we needed a change.
-
...
pink???
...
OK no
BLUE
edit: We would add some red splashes once inside the "shadowbox", wuldn`t we? ;D
-
Sacre Bleu!
-
By themselves, both look good, but the Blue version fits the game's theme much better.
I would also vote for no logos or writing on the city-scape. It would detract from the impact.
-
Def. blue. The red is too harsh to look at. I like to lull my players in a sense of security and red is just too obviously the opposite.
-

Neon green would be awesome.
-
Gotsta go with the blue, and not just because it's my fav color.
It just looks cooler.
-
I like the green one ;D

Looks nicely toxic :)
-
Maybe you should just, you know, mybe you should just sell the print with slightly vissible contures and put a pack of crayons to the box...everyone happy
;D
-
It's very possible that both versions will be in the PDF set …

-
The blue one for sure!
-
Check it out: Green version (http://"http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/050/c/0/seattle_2072_re_colored_by_fexes-d39wxsi.jpg") - Seattle is the "Emerald City" after all, isn't it?
-
gotta be the blue
-
I like Franz Ernst (fexes (http://fexes.deviantart.com/)) "green" version as much as the blue (maybe more). I also like that there is no Shadowrun logo (in the version linked here) to distract from immersion in the scene.
Working links (note that, until I logged in to Deviant Art, the in-post image by fexes did not display in his post, nor the response) not sure if that will be true for others and the last two links below)
- Red (official) (http://www.shadowrun4.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/RT_GM-Screen-Front_Page_1.jpg)
- Blue (official) (http://www.shadowrun4.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/RT_GM-Screen-Front_Page_2.jpg)
- Green (by fexes, thumbnail) (http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/050/c/0/seattle_2072_re_colored_by_fexes-d39wxsi.jpg)
- Green (by fexes, large) (http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/050/0/4/seattle_2072_re_colored_by_fexes-d39wxsi.jpg)
PS Is there a way to control image size in the version of BBCode used here? i tried [img=100] and [img width="100"] with no joy.
PPS fexes (http://fexes.deviantart.com/) also has a great SoLA cover and maps in his Shadowrun Gallery (http://fexes.deviantart.com/gallery/23433441).
-
Damn all of you! Now I'll have to hire a team of Shadowrunners to infiltrate Catalyst's printer and sabotage the cyan, so we'll have a nice red GM screen. :D
Btw, does anybody know why they changed the window pattern on the lower levels of the Arc in the blue version? Suggestions and conspiracy theories are highly welcome.

Blue... It fits the feel of Shadowrun.

I was meaning the difference in windows on the Arc
-
Definately Green!
The red and blue are ok but the green really screams everything shadowrun! Plus the other colors in the pic really make the city come to life.

And this. ^

Oh...
Darn, and I wanted to play Sarge, too.

When did companies go to images on the back anyways? I'm sure there are some tables or rules or something that would be more useful than the Seattle skyline, especially for, say, a C-Springs campaign. I vote for neither, sorry folks (I know it means nothing, an this will still come out in print with one image or another)
-
Player tables on the screen might be nice in theory; but in practice, most players will not be sitting close enough to read them.
-

Uhm...when haven't they?
Looking through all the GM screens I've got right now (Shadowrun and otherwise), they've all got crunchy bits on the inside for the GM, and artwork on the outside for the players.
What game(s) do you have that have charts or something on both sides? :o
-
The old (West End Games old!) Star Wars GM Screens had charts on both sides.
-
Yay for blue!
I just registered because i thought i could still vote! :D
Anyhow... i wanted blue, so... everything´s fine. :P

Deadlands has it, 1 of the many D&D Screens had it,The Midgard Screen(the oldest German Fantasy RPG,appr. 30 Years old) ....
Quite some Screens are printed with Lists & Charts on both sides
with a Dance on both sides
