so my question is do statuses stack?  for instance burning 3 with burning 4.  will the target take 7 damage?  confused 2 and confused 3 for a total of -5 to actions?  what about invisible 4 and invisible (improved) 4 against say human targets for -8 to perception?  I assume statuses of different types stack like chilled and zapped.  I'm not seeing anything in the rules and was hoping for some RAI at least.

I'm leaning towards having the heaviest count myself, since otherwise you could go 'let me grab 6 F3 Spirits and stack Concealment for -18 to Perception!'. Designer intent also was only the heaviest applies, so there's your initial RAI (though there are places in the book where the initial designer got overruled, so designer intent isn't 100%, definitely 95% here though).
