That's too cruel. Besides, who'd be that interested in pictures of Justin Bieber? ;D

Vin Diesel's Riddick and Summer Glau's River: Mortal enemies or match made in heaven?

I'm sorry, i enjoyed firefly and it ticked me off when they took it off the air, kinda like they did with Dresden Files and for much the same reason. The network that ran it just had bad luck and chose to put it in a time slot up against a much more popular show, not to mention wasnt there this thing called a writers strike that year.
May god grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, to change the things I can, and the firepower to make the difference.

Really? I think they'd be perfect together. Riddick would be charmed by her innocence, and intrigued by the ferocity in her. While River would find his clear-cut mindset refreshing in a 'verse where everyone's thoughts are convoluted... ;D

...kinda like they did with Dresden Files and for much the same reason.

Dresden went off the air because it was pure crap. I got the DVDs as a gift, they are still the only thing I have ever re-gifted.

Here's an example of how bad the TV show was: at an appearance that Jim Butcher had in Chicago for one of his Dresden novels (Small Favor I think) somebody asked him about the show. He gave us the count of time (to the day) of when the rights reverted back to him. He was so disappointed with how the show was handled that I think he's automatically apologizing to anybody who watched it.

Wasn't that show British? I remember there being a very low quality show by that name I watched like two episodes then declared the rest of the series unwatchable (Though not as unwatchable as that Robin Hood show. Still pretty bad though). Seems like a crappy version of shows like Hellsing (Which owns pretty hard). It also reminded me of Hell Boy, Men in Black, and Warehouse 13. The concept wasn't terrible. It was just poorly executed and badly cast mostly. I'm yet to see any non-comedy English Television that I actually like though.

No, Dresden was a Sci-Fi network production. There was a British character, but for the most part it was Canadian/American.

Wow. Pretty low quality for a scifi (or syfy or whatever the fuck they want people to call them now) original series. The books look interesting though.

Alot of their movies suck too, now that I think of it. Cube 2, Riverworld, Earthsea, BSG: Razor. I liked BSG though. Good series. Warehouse 13 was pretty decent, but I lost interest because every episode had the same plot. Didn't they do Eureka? I like that show, despite cheesiness and some bad acting.

Edit: I was thinking of Torchwood possibly. Man that show was bad.

Cube 2 wasn't a SyFy production.  But it was terrible enough to be one.

I read a comment by a syfy higher up in referance to the low quality movies they put out he was quoted as saying "they make cheap movies to entertain the masses" or something to that point not an exact quote as I don't have it in front of me.

More or less from the story I got that they make the cheesey low budget films cause people watch them and because they are cheap they can make alot of them.

As for Dresden eh I watched it all I think it wasn't that memorable it seems and I never watched torchwood.
