Based on the description of the Ares Crusader II on p252 (bottom right) which says it comes with Gas Vent (500) and Smartgun System (200 or 500) I would expect the cost to be 1200-1500 or so, not the 520 as shown in the Machine Pistol table on p254.  I mean, in game, I can totally see Ares trying to undercut the competition to corner the market, but this seems like a mistype or something like that.  To get the bargain Machine Pistol equally equipped would put the total cost of gun+accessories to 1210 (top mounted Smartgun) or 1510 (internal Smartgun).

A Club is 65 Nuyen.  I wouldn't dive too deep on the costs.

As far as in game world logic goes, you're paying retail costs of an after market product.  Ares and friends have purpose built mass production to churn the entire weapon out at one go, gas vents and all. 

It's like features on cars.  After a while even the base model gets bluetooth support.

To be fair, the 6-shot semi-automatic grenade pistol is only 1800¥, while its 12-shot big bother is 5000¥, and the pump-action tube launcher with a SG system is 5900¥.
