Title: Help with Gnome SRM Rigger/Decker
Post by: Vassago on <03-10-17/0045:43>
Want to build a Gnome hybrid for Chicago SRMs.
All books in SRM FAQ are legal, with listed restrictions on qualities, etc.

Basically looking for a 60/40 split, rigger/decker respectively

Priority system> A resources, C meta (Dwarf gnome with +1 Edge), E magic for mundane. B and D priorities available for either Attributes or Skills.

Basically hoping for build bulletpoints. Want to be able to focus on mainly matrix info gathering, cracking and sleaze, but mostly ignoring combat situation matrix actions like bricking and such. Combat situations and infiltration would be preferably drone oriented, with maybe pistols for meat in a pinch.

Drone work would probably be mostly through jumping in as opposed to auto, but auto options would be helpful as necessary. Vehicle stuff would be lower focus, but decent enough to be a driver if no one else can.

Familiar enough with char-gen, and using chummer5a to build. Very familiar with source book material, but only recently digging into supplement books. So, if you recommend qualities and gear from supplements, either an explanation or a page reference would be helpful.

Recommendations for specific gear and wares to target based on concept are greatly appreciated, schmanks!!!

Edit: something similar to this concept from Hobbes:

But, with the Gnome metatype as a requisite, and a little less min/maxxy

If you're okay being the gnome in the car (van), go with Stats D and dump the physical stats hard.  If you want a "Real" deck just drop the Duelists Drones and the RCC and just play creepy gnome in the Van with the Ninja Sex Bot and call it a day.  You'll still want the Control Rig but if you don't want the Drone Swarm, you don't really need the RCC.

If you want the Drone Swarm you're pretty well stuck with what I went with and kludge the RCC into a 3/4 of a Deck and call it a day.  Just take my build cross out "Human" write in Gnome, correct the Edge and Stat points.

If you actually want to tag along with the team you're going to want to some how jam in a tricked out mobility scooter or Evo Revolution.  Or somehow come up with a half dozen stat points.

B Sills/D Attribute
LOG 7 WIL&INT 5

Quick Config
Overclocker
Perfect Time
get enough neg qualities to get Codeslinger:Hack on the fly

Augentations:
Control Rig[2]Used
Reaction Enhancers[3]Used
Cerebral Boosters[2]
Control Rig Optimization

Gear:
Little Hornet with it's Array modified to 6-3-1-1

That leaves you with 189700nuyen to round out the character.
Buy a Bulldog, Flyspy and an anthroform drone w/body armor and weapon
Never leave the van.
If you want a cover/chuck wagon instead of Bulldog with comercial lifestyle.
Who ever thinks the food truck guy is a runner? Artisan[Cooking] 1[+2] goes a long way for this one.

SG should be Electronics
concentrate on EWarfare[sen ops], Hacking[Hosts], Piloting, Gunnery[Ballistics], Sneaking

after chargen: JOAT and start building up them other logic skills

Just thought about the foodtruck again.
You probably don't even need a commmmmercial lifestyle.
Any lifestyle w/a garage and special work area pretty much covers it too.

Fake ID w/Securiy Rigger, Firearm Licences.

I-Doll in Heavy Security Armor impersonating Lone Star or KE:
"Move along citizen."
"Wait-what? You're not even human."
