So while replaying Mass Effect 1 today I thought of trying to adapt my adept character into Shadowrun. Any other suggestions on improving him would be greatly appreciated. I would like to keep the idea of him keeping the enemy off guard and possible hauling them out of cover (via levitate or fling)

A mystic adept with no adept powers?
Remember, you don't have to kill the vehicle to stop it, just kill the guy driving it.

You should try to get some synergy going with this character. By which I mean, you don't use a single LOG skill, but you've made LOG one of your most important attributes by choosing it as a Drain stat. But don't get me wrong, LOG is a good choice for a Human for your Drain stat because you can augment the crap out of it - but since you're going to be investing so much in it, you really should do something else with it too. You want to be a combatant but you don't have any way to improve your initiative nor a very good AGI, this pretty much precludes you from being a viable combatant. Also, you've chosen Mystic Adept, but you don't appear to have taken a single Power. Is that intentional? Why not just be a Magician?

Mystic Adepts are tough builds - they take a lot of BP, but I would still strongly recommend you find a way to get a Power Focus Rating 2, preferably 4. Start by scrapping your other two Foci, and don't forget to bond it.

Drop your BOD 1 and raise your LOG 1. Drop your STR 1 and raise your LOG another 1. As a caster, dealing with Drain is your biggest concern. Your STR isn't high enough to be a damage dealer anyway - use a Stun baton, no STR necessary. Drop your REA 1, bump your AGI 1. Drop your INT 1 and bump your AGI another 1.

Drop the Banishing skill, a Stunbolt is what you should use for that... Your CHA is abysmal, might as well drop the Con and Etiquette - pick 'em up post-chargen if you really want them. Drop Binding to 1 and drop Pilot Groundcraft completely - you're trying to do too much to dabble in this, pick it up after chargen. You're going for a battle mage, but your pools are really not good enough to be reliable in anything at all except Spellcasting, and even that needs help - again you need to coordinate your Attributes and Skills better.

As Awakened, your ESS is precious to you. You've chosen to burn a point in Augmentations which is fine, but if you're going to do that - at least use all of that point of ESS. Like by getting some Cerebral Boosters for instance?

You have a Maglock Sequencer but no Hardware skill, so it's pretty much just an expensive paper-weight for you.

Ultimately, I recommend starting completely over. If you want to be a shooter as well as caster, might I suggest starting with Restricted Gear and Rating 4 Power Focus and the nuyen to buy it and bond it, then go with a straight Magician with a MAG of 4, 3 after your 'ware - don't worry, your Power Focus will carry your Magic and you should have enough resources to be a decent combatant. Go with 4s in your MAG-linked skills and put the 6 in your shooting skill and don't forget to take Increase Reflexes.
