actually that does not sound like much. 33.3 meter per combat turn is 11 meter per second, and thats pretty much the same speed as if you fell 1 meter (as gravity drop you at acceleration of 10 meter per second, to a total of 10/meter per second after one second).

I would say the forward thrust is produced and limited by the speed of fall, but would not assume the speed of fall is limited by the speed of forward thrust. Unless you know the exact math behind the workings of a wingsuit.

I think it's 33.3m/s not per combat turn...

Your math has gotten a bit confused there.

Acceleration of 9.8 meters per second per second, means that after one second of falling you'll reach a speed of 9.8 m/s, but the distance fallen in that time (since you have to build up to that speed at a linear rate) is 4.9 meters. (1/2 * 9.8 * time^2) A speed of 11 m/s would be achieved by falling 6.2 meters. So it's more like the impact you'd feel after jumping from a second story window, maybe third story.

Which really isn't that hard to soak, especially for an Adept... however, the fact you're going forward at 100 m/round (or about 74.5 mph) still puts an un-assisted landing in the "bumpity-bumpity-bumpity-bumpity-SPLAT" category.

so now the real question: which one does batman's cape count as?  :)

batman suite I think would be a reuseable airfoil

Actually, if I'm reading the section (Spy Games, p159) they can be used as often as needed; they just ruin the outfit when deployed and need special, non-portable equipment to be re-packed... neither of which is a problem for a variant made from an external cape.

However, I do agree that it's definitely a more advanced, less concealable version of an Airfoil, since Batman makes controlled landings with his Batcape all the time, and Airfoil is the only one that mentions landing with one.

Reading that same section, the re-packing equipment seems t be specifically refering to the optional conventional parachute (for falls of over 500), which ruins your suit by pretty much exploding out of your back.

Actually, the airfoil suit in Spy Games is reusable. The fabric extends to fill the gap between the arms and legs, allowing you to fly down like a flying squirrel. It is the SafeJump, which has a concealed parachute that deploys automatically, which ruins the garment once deployed.
