Title: Juicer/Rigger
Post by: Chalkarts on <04-24-19/0454:01>
I'm putting together a Wheelman Rigger whose main combat effectiveness is being a Juicer.

I'm thinking that if I skip the Bioware, at least at creation, I'd be able to drop my cash priority to B and make him an edgy Troll or Ork.

Make him tough as hell with drug tolerance so he can handle the crashes and addiction tests, and with plenty of edge he could save that for staving off crippling addiction.

If I might request to know your thoughts?

Here's a first draft,

I've reworked him as a Dwarf.
Less edge but better at handling crash and addiction tests.

I didn't give him a Nephritic screen because I didn't want to diminish his drugs in any way.
I didn't give him Narco(Yet) so I could keep cost down, but it's the characters mid term goal to get the treatment.

For a Rigger your Reaction seems low for the Piloting tests

Narco is a F12 availability geneware. It is not easy to get and use in play. It is cheap and within rules to get it during chargen, if you are going to play a juicer, I highly advise making Narco your primary piece of 'ware.

Good point, I'd not considered that.
Ok, back to the drawing board.
I'm thinking about backing his meta down to human and losing the dwarven stats in exchange for more skills and edge.

You may well want to explain what a Juicer is for the folks playing the at home version.

Though imo a wheel man is not a very juicer like concept.

I suspect Julian the first would be disappointed.

Juicer is a Drug enhanced combat monster.
Bane from Batman(Comic&toon) would be an excellent example of a Juicer(Titan Variant).
It's a character class from the RIFTS game system.

They're badass until the drugs burn out their bodies.

I always liked the concept and wanted to make something similar for SR.

As for the wheelman aspect, I just wanted to make a rigger and it seemed like a decent way to save some cash instead of buying combat enhancements.  But i do suppose that if I stepped away from the rigger aspect and focused purely on making a hardcore Juicer I could get a lot more bang for the buck.  Maybe some bioware augmented str/agi as a good base for the drugs to build upon.

There you go! Julian the First would be Proud!

A dwarven Phaeton Juicer?
I think you could get a better result from life modules.
Give me a few hours and half a pot of soycaf to test that theory.

Here's an incomplete build.
Not really happy with it but it should work.

A dwarven Phaeton Juicer?

I guess it would be, lol.
If I made it a Juicer/Adept I could probably make a hyperion.
Or go troll and shoot for pure titan.

The concept of a Dwarven Juicer/Rigger works so well in my head but it's hard to fit the priorities in, lol.

Does Juicer synergize really well with any other archetype?

Don't really see how tbh.
I can easily see a Dragon Juicer giving an insane storyline, though.
