I also wanted to amend this characters archetype.  I referred to it as an infiltrator/scout.  More accurately he just a scout with a focus in gymnastics to get to hard to reach places e.g. rooftops.  At our table I'd be the first one in a dangerous area relaying information to the rest of the team and possibly setting myself up in an advantageous spot for a combat sequence.  Firing off arrows while attempting to remain undetected for a couple "Defender unaware" attacks.

This is exactly the end result of full "play it out" with regard to social encounters. If the skills aren't used, then it discourages taking them and the attributes tied to them.

I completely agree and talking with you guys have brought that to the forefront of my attention.  I intend to speak with the GM about re-instituting the CHA attribute at the very least.  Even if we continue to disregard social skills it doesn't make much sense to role-play a master of rhetoric with a CHA of 1.  Same goes for WIL.
