Concertina wire works way better for keeping people off your lawn... they try to get through and it just snags and tears and makes life difficult...

I hop over my own gate too often to put any kind of wire over it.  Also, the Punk-Rock Poodle would get hurt.  No, I think I'll get those instead.

Actually, if you want an effective barrier that doesn't have people thinking you're some sort of nut, do it with plants.

Make a bramble rose hedge. That is, use blackberries or raspberries alternating with rose hedges. The rose hedges tend to fill down and out, while the bramble canes arch over. Gorgeous, useful, moderate maintenance required, and it's as effective as the concertina.

I'd rather my neighbors think I was nuts.  You don't break into Crazy, you break into the house a few down from Crazy.  Crazy with F*** you up and not care about the cops when they show up.

Stupid Canadian lack of "Castle Laws".   >:(

Nah. Crazy gets extra and unwanted police attention.  And despite what you say, you do break into the house of Crazy -- because everyone figures all the noise is just crazy being himself again.

You just need to be a Professional Russian.

Who apparently lives in Georgia. The American one, not the European one.

Actually, there was more than one occasion where we had to stop my stepfather from getting a cannon.  He almost picked one up on a Caribbean Cruise but it would have made him go over his luggage limit for the flight home.

I also don't know how Canadian Customs would have taken him declaring it...
