Title: 4th edition modules/campaigns - conversion needed to 5th?
Post by: Cinderwolf on <09-10-13/2228:12>
Hey everyone! I am extremely new to Shadowrun and I haven't truly found an actual answer to this... perhaps I'm not wording my search queries properly but here's hoping someone will have the answer! :)

Existing 4th edition campaigns/adventures/modules... Will there be any need for conversion, and if so - ideally for a NEW player/GM, would it be difficult to convert?

I ask because the store I work at has a plethora of available 4th edition modules but I don't want to get in too deep and give myself a difficult time with working things out!

Anyone have any ideas? :)

Enemy skill-levels need to be slightly boosted, especially for named opponents, and every Matrix section would need to be replaced. As such, I can't say it's easy to convert.

You could check Sprawl Wilds and Firing Line, which are SR4+SR5 statted though there's still some conversion errors in Sprawl Wilds due to predating the final rules.

So it's not as easy as say.. converting 3/3.5 D&D to 4th (or vice versa)?

The hardest part would be the matrix, the npcs are fairly straightforward.
