The (il)logical extention of the Microfilament Bola.
There are several benefits to Bolanades:
1.The enemy can't just pick it up and throw it back(unless it's a troll and it hit someone else)
2.There are 2 grenades instead of 1.

How i see it working:2 grenades, attatched by a string. When you throw it, the string tugs gently and ignites the fuses.

Microfilament Bolas are in canon the weapons of a madman already.
For perspective, this is a game with drugs that make you unstoppable then kill you when they wear off, laser guns that shoot lightning bolts, and mages that invite spirits to possess themselves and their friends for power. In this context, wielding a set of Microfilament Bolas is still considered crazy and/or desperate.

And you want to make this weapon more dangerous?!?

PS: don't have time to search for the thread right now but I think this has been suggested before. The end result was an unholy fusion of the minigun and the bolas launcher firing Gecko Microfilament Grenade Bolas (Hereafter GMGB) at the target area with an impressive rate of fire and predictable results, especially after some bright spark added an airburst link to the mix.

And also i was thinking one lethal mod to another. Not monofil and grenades, just grenades.

As long as it's not monofilament, I think they're actually a good idea. This type of weapon has popped up now and again through weapon history since the bronze age, but with the technology in 2070s I think it could actually be made to work. You wouldn't even need multiple grenades, just throw one special brand "bola grenade" and it splits open a second or two after being thrown.

Nice idea in my opinion.

You could also make an Armorer test to modify your grenades so they explode just a couple seconds after being thrown, instead of leaving them at the default 6-second (next combat turn) timing. I'd like the bola grenades for being able to tangle people up without necessarily killing them - that's what follow-up weapons are for.

The only pity is that you'd need a specially-modified grenade launcher to use them in the microgrenade form that those weapons use, rather than the relative flexibility of hand grenades.
