I don't see a stat entry on the tables, and they are only listed in the sub text on the Bola entry.  Would this be an armorer test to create, or are they sold like that, a bola that has been adapted to contain two throwing grenades? I see no availability stat for a boom bola.

So I'll assume that if you buy one, its simply pay the cost for a bola, the cost for two grenades, and for rules its standard Bola rules with a-2 Accuracy to the Physical limit.

And I guess to be a right out jerk you could make a monofilament boom bola if you have nuyen to burn.

These weapons exist and can be found using precious editions but they are also considered the weapons of a depraved madman and the lowest of chummers. Not to mention you would get some damn fast notoriety for those buuuuut they are also super fun and make everything running go booom. Try the search feature here or gods-inc they have a list of all throwing weapons from almost every edition.

that's what we have been doing at our table. Grenade + Grenade + Bola cost, using the highest availability of the three as the test.  Our decker loves his bola skill soft and his gas grenade bolas. Less collateral damage with gas grenades

Boom Bolas? What a sick and twisted idea. Cheers  :D.

Can blame Catalyst for that one. It's officially in Run & Gun.

Also, not sure about the monofilament boom bola. How would you hand the monofilament wire carefully enough to remove the current weights and replace them with grenades? At the least, you would probably slice yourself up, or the wire might slice into the grenade setting it off.

meh they probably make special protective gear for the people who produce mono filimant wire for the tops of fences and such. The real issue would be transporting the mono wired high explosive grenades... that's a disaster waiting to happen!

Agreed. Could end up blowing yourself up and cutting your fingers off all in the same glitched roll.

Idea: monowire boom bola. Grenades loaded with nausea gas and the industrial super lube making it even harder to move.

So you vivisect them, then make them vomit and slide all over themselves?  That's really clever, but sadistic as hell!

well, initially, at least from the SR% read, the monowire damage is only when trying to get out....

OMG that scenario is almost worse!  They can't help but fall with the lubricant all over them, and they lose their balance with nausea too.
