That is the least gangsta place for a gun battle ever. Or the most.

I will resist my "gangsta is the most horrible phrase ever, and this is why every 1920-30's gangster wants to stab you for it" rant for now. Wrong topic for it in general.

But yeah..now I have ideas for a power-inline skate punk/ganger character. Specializes in martial arts and uzis.

Now I'm getting ideas for gangs that duel via jousting on Skateboards or Bicycles.

Hell, even Motorcycles would rock!

... pretty sure they already do that sir...

and for bike couriers... even today i wouldn't think they carry really high level information... more along the lines of basic legal docs and stuff that have to have original sigs and what not and cant be "fax" copies..

Bicycles? Nonsense, you need to keep your hands free.

So as I sat here putting antiseptic on the road rash (that fence totally did not have the right of way), it occurred to me: just how useful would bicycles be in SR?

Obvious advantages: cost (~500Y by my estimate), manoeuvrability, off-road capabilities, simplicity, fuel and grid independence, ubiquitousness, can use Athletics instead of Pilot Ground...

While we're at it - what about roller skates and skateboards?
Arsenal has roller blades (forget which page don't have my book right with me) and Used Car Lot has a bike with optional electric motor... it IS weird that there are no regular bikes, though... I was looking into making an adept a while ago who has a day job as a bike courier~

In my last game we had Vort the eco-friendly machete weilding troll adept who went everywhere on a byke and was very smug about it. Though he had a limp so we deduced he used the bike like a scooter :P

CARD GAMES ON---
Ahem.
I was originally planning on something about bicycle jousting, which, though clearly inferior to motorcycle jousting, would still be more powerful than just using a spear.
Besides, it's more stealthy to bicycle.
