So I've been trying to help a friend out with a concept, and then I realized that nowhere in Howling Shadows does it list the cost to own or upkeep either critters or paracritters. I think for the former I've seen someone post a list from the German Howling Shadows before, but I can't find it. Nor can I speak German. I was wondering if there is some way in the books to handle starting with an animal instead of just a drone, and if so just how that would work long term.

Seems like these costs should be subject to a significant amount of adjustment by the GM as to both price and availability...if the GM doesn't want a specific critter in the game then it shouldn't be.

Though, the lifestyle cost sure makes sense, I couldn't see any reason to adjust that unless your runner lived underground and wanted to have a huge flying critter of some kind or some weirdness like that.
