Title: Looking for Game Developers to attend a game dev contest
Post by: Leevizer on <03-02-16/0805:49>
Hi chummers!

I recently started a job as an event producer and am having a great time running an event called the Game Development World Championship, or GDWC for short. Basically, it's aimed at students, indies and new game startups who want to get some global attention for their games. Competition categories are entertainment games and serious games, with 3 finalists from each category winning a trip to Finland, Sweden and Slush 2016.

The contest has started already and will be running until the 30th of september. The only major rule about submitting a game is that it cannot be published elsewhere before 2016, meaning that if you have a game "in the works", it'd be able to be submitted. Or if you've always thought about making a game but just haven't gotten around to it, this could be a great chance to start!

We haven't gone public with this info yet, but we'll also be getting a free e-book bundle for everyone applying for the contest, mostly about 3D-modeling and Unity development so if those are your style, signing up is all you need to do. (And sell your soul to the evil megacorporate mailing list that will hunt you for eternity afterwards)

So if you are interested, please take a look (and hopefully sign up!) at  www.thegdwc.com (http://www.thegdwc.com), ask about it here or shoot me an email at contact@thegdwc.com.

Keep shooting straight and conserving ammo!

PS: Personally, if any of you guys have anything Cyberpunk-ish in the works -PLEASE- apply to the contest, I would -love- to see that game win. And personally do everything I can to promote it. I'd also like to say that if this is too shameless of a promotion, I understand removing this message or asking me to tone it down.
