Rafa shrugged, he would've been happy with the first offer too.

He picked up the rifle, shouldered the rifle and watched through its scope. When he looked up, he seemed happier than a kid with a new toy and cotton candy on a stick.

"Keep the cred, I'm not letting this puppy leave my hands." Rafa said in Spanish as he wired over the rest of the money for the rifle and the bullets. The transaction complete, he nodded to Pablo.
"I'll come watch the fights, maybe place some bets. You know, I had some hand to... paw with that cat. They ain't so tough but damned they can be quick. Should be really entertaining."

He walked towards his bike, got on. Its engine started, growling in the night. He shouted to Critter in English, his Spanish accent was a thicker than it had been before. "You need an escort getting out of Chulos turf or think you can manage?"
He hadn't thought Critter would be satisfied with her part of the cut but she hadn't complained. She'd showed him respect on his his own turf. It had earned her some credit with him.

"Don't worry about me," Critter said, "I drive a truck that looks worthless and in case someone gets clever, I can defend myself."
In fact the pickup truck was in very good repair, although it didn't look the part, but that was intentional.  Make it look a bit dirty and nobody would look twice at you.  She nodded a last time at Rafe, but he seemed occupied with his new rifle.  Just like a child in a candy store she tought as she drove of.
