How would you do it?  I've been pondering how I'd make one in Shadowrun, though the biggest hurdle has been the fact that they have both walker movement and ground movement that they can switch between with no effort.

Modified steel lynx? Description is pretty much the same:

the Steel Lynx possesses four wheeled legs and a heavy weapon mount. It is operated with the Pilot Groundcraft skill.
. Just add arms and reshape/reskin it a bit?

Actually, in most Shadowrun games, they typically have a Lifestyle so they're either Murder Hobos (Street/Squatter Level) or Murder Renters (Low+ level)

Seconded on basing off the Steel Lynx.  It's already 90% the same thing.

RPG mechanics exist to give structure and consistency to the game world, true, but at the end of the day, you’re fighting dragons with algebra and random number generators.

Add a rigger cocoon,  a pair of arms and maybe some walker legs and some armor?
