Not so, Teyl. There's already a wingsuit described in WAR! and a concealed version in Spy Games. Not that expensive actually.

Why not one of the Trubble Bubbles from Arsenal?  *Looks at blank stares*  Oh, right, most of you haven't grown up in the '80s.

Yes, but didn't those things have a tendency to blow up? A lot? At the first sign of enemy combatants?

Yes.  I call them the "Punishment Duty" devices.  :P

I think they're more useful in areas that don't have SAMs.

Or laser rifles that blow up enemy buildings but never leave any casualties.

The more I look at things, the more my brain hurts that I could make Cobra and GI Joe Vehicles with Arsenal Rules...

I think I need help.

While not quite the same thing, this thread reminds me of the only good thing about that 'Shadowrun' game for Windows a few years ago. The backpack that deployed a mini hang-glider that allowed you to glide places. That was pretty cool. The rest of the game made me weep, though.

THAT GAME NEVER EXISTED!!!

Not as it was titled, at least.  It should have been given a new name, as it sure as hell wasn't the same IP, that's for sure!

I still have a promo card for the Shadowrun: Assassin game that never got finished. I need to go find it again.

I remember it had a picture of a female runner with some sort of tri-barrel gatling pistol.

I suspect it became Shadowrun late in its development, likely from having the similarity to a certain RPG pointed out. Hell, Blade Runner had nothing to do with a certain book when the screenplay was written. But once the similarities was pointed out, they figured it was best to license the movie rights of the book.

And on a personal note, the "X have never existed" meme is growing long in the tooth.

Not meme, sheer personal hatred.  One that would burn out ten-thousand suns into cinders.
