First time I see a character like this.
It's obvious that you know perfectly what you're doing, but I'm really surprised he has only 5 skills. It makes a lot of lacks.
And no contacts ?
I'll be curious to see how it is handled.

EDIT : okay, think I get it. You choose a metatype which can easily have high physical attributes, you put points only in skills where success number does matter, you default the others. Vicious and clever.

Well to a point yes but he's also the combat guy, the face talks, the hacer rigs/hacks, the mages sling the mojo (and hopefully heal me  ;D),

I am a 9 foot talk humanoid looking bull the has tiger features SNEAKING  ??? what's that  ;D ;D ;D ;D Thus the low skill is may be modded to a 1 and no specialization soon too still tweaking him.

But for the most part he's made to punch you with all the tech and guns around sure the guards are like wholey crap that fraggers HUGE!! and then I go to hit them and they get kinda confused for a sec wait hes punching us not useing the big fragging sword or a gun  ??? ......Then I hit one of them ....Jaws drop and well now I'm in melee combat with their friend (if he's still up  ;D)

Over all right now as he is put together his punch is str/2 round up = 4 plus crital strik 5 = 9 plus killing hands = 9P plus penatrating strike = 9P -3 AP resist with impact armor = OW!

IF I pull the sword its a +2 reach weapon & +1 reach arm length with a damage of str/2 +4P which = 8P +3 reach -2 AP again resist with impact armor = OW! (Again  ;D)

He really is build as a psyad and REQUIRES a team to back him up HE never talks to the jhonson he knows better and he hopes someone can keep him alive after the fight  :P

Changed to a Magic attribute 5 = 40 BP (from Magic 6 = 65 BP)

Lowered Improved Reflexes to level 1 = 1.5 PP (From Improved Reflexes level 2 = 2.5 PP)

This led to reaction going down 1, Inititive down 1, & Passes down 1 (No BP Costs for these)

Took the now extra 25 BP spent on edge to rasie edge from 1 to 3 = 20 BP

Currently have 5 BP to use will think more on what else to change and see where I use the BP at.

Ok here's a thought remove specializations on Pistols, Infiltration, and Perception this gives me 6 BP

Lower Pistols to 1 (I am working him as melee fighter not ranged) this gives me 4 BP

Add in the 5 BP I have left over now and thats 15 BP

I can juggle some gear for 5k nuyen to get 1 BP which would give me 16 BP

With 16 BP I can take 2 more skills at 2 or 4 skills at 1

Thoughts?

You can't get critical strike at 5.  Your Magic rating is 4 because of your bioware and geneware, and adept abilities are capped by the Magic rating.

The metagenetic improvements from SURGE give you an immediate advantage, but the geneware kind of eats up a lot of nuyen and Essence for the ability to raise your Attributes super-high later - are you really going  to spend 90 karma at some point, to get your Body from 17 to 18, when there will be so many other ways that you could spend that karma?

He is maxed out for combat otherwise, but his actual melee skills seem to be on the low side.  I would have expected a 6 and a 4, or two 5's.

Yeah I forgot to lower Crit strike when i was lowering things.

And yeah my str (the Att. I would raise) would take 715 karma I seriously doubt Bull lets people play missions characters with over 300 karma so yeah I think a rework is in order.

On the up side thats 108,000 Nuyen back this may make for a better character as I'll have more BP in the skills I really want to use.

Not really convinced by the penetrating strike. -3AP = +1DV = -1Dice in your attack pool. Cant' you instead increase your dice pool, with the basic power enhancing your skill ? it'll cost 0,5 instead of 0,75, so you still have 0,25 points free.
Or isn't there something like an elemental strike which allows you to make electricity damages (since we saw that electric damages effects are really overpowered) ?
EDIT : found it ; 0,5, you must have killing hand, you add an elemental effect to your attack, which means, with electricity, that you just divide the armor by two, if I'm correct.

Elemental Strike
Cost: .5
This power can only be developed by characters who already possess the Killing Hands power (p. 188, SR4). Elemental Strike enhances the effects of Killing Hands with an elemental effect (see pp. 164–165 of this book and pp. 154–155, SR4). The specific elemental effect must be chosen at the time the power is bought, though an adept may take this power more than once to achieve different elemental effects (only one elemental effect may be applied per strike). While active, the power wreathes the adept’s hands with a visible effect appropriate to the chosen element. Activating Elemental Strike is a Simple Action, after which the effect lasts for (Magic attribute) Combat Turns. Given the focus it demands, Elemental Strike may not be combined with Distance Strike.

As he stands now before I boost his strength attribute he does 11P damage (not includeing modifiers)

I first roll the boost (rolling 7 dice) say 2 success my strenght goes to 11 this ups the damage to 12P

I just wanna mean that the mathematic value of -3AP is the same than +1DV, since your opponent will make an average success every 3 dices. So if you take him 3 dices on his resistance test, i'ts like if he takes one more DV (according to statistics of course).
And 1DV = -1 dice in your attack pool with the option that allows you to decrease your dice pool to increase your damages. In french it's "viser", I don't know the translation.
So, if you get by your powers just one more dice in your dice pool, it has an average effect which is the same that if you have a -3AP attack.
And since getting an extra dice is cheaper, with the basic power which enhances you combat skill of 1 per 0.5 points of magic, I find it better.

But I think now that the elemental strike is even better if it does divide your opponent's armor by two. It's weaker if your opponent has an armor of 5 or less, in all other cases, it's better. And it has elemental effects.

What do you think ?

EDIT :

His Die pool for the attack is 11 dice (not includeing modifiers)
13 no ? 6 in agility, 5 in skill, +2 with the spec.

not alot of armors out there have over 6 impact but yeah people start stacking armor then the electrical is better once the impact armor hits 7+.

The other upside I see is electrical has a chance at a knockdown effect.

NOW what I'm about to say may bite in the rear if Bull or anyone who writes for Missions reads this is .......NPC's in Missions don't stack armor heck I'd say 30% of the time they don't even have armor but when they do it is rarely (if ever) over rating 6 impact so I don't know I'll do some reading later today and see what I think.

That's correct, and a -2 dice malus to all his action tests even if the target resists to the knockdown effect, and it costs 0.5, instead of 0,75, so you still have 0.25, or to take a level of penetrating strike or for anything else ^^
Besides electric strikes allows you to make funny things on electronic devices. But it must be activated, and has a visible effect (which is not the case of penetrating strike I guess).

Anyway, for me, in a classic setting, for this character.
Penetrating strike < Enhanced skill < Elemental strike
But if you're metagaming for "Missions", then you know parameters I don't ^^"
