Title: Classic car - need recommendation
Post by: psycho835 on <10-17-18/0726:32>
Long story short - I need a vintage car. The Shadowrun equivalent of Pontiac GTO, Dodge Charger, etc. Problem is, I only got into Shadowrun by 4th edition. So here's a question to veterans of Shadowrun - what cool pre-4E 4-seater sedan would you recommend? And what do you think it's stats would look like in 5E?

Rigger 5 has a remake of the mustang muscle car, which might be something. The dodge? Away from my books :/

GMC Phoenix? That's a new car in old style, even if it is awesome. I'm looking for something "with history", so to speak.

First Edition Rigger Black Book introduced the Eurocar Westwind 2000 and the Saab Dynamit 776Ti. Both are sportscars with two bucket seats in front and a bench seat behind. Use stats for the Westwind 3000 (SR5, p.463) and Dynamit (Rigger 5, p.50), respectively. Or go mid-twentieth-century classic and make it a Ferrari 250 GTO (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_250_GTO/).

It's the Dodge Charger, which is definitely not the Ford Mustang.  Sorry, Detroit native here, we worry about such details. :)

If the asthetics are more important than the stats then reskin another car to be the one you want. If by "vintage" you mean something we would consider vintage now then call it a throwback, give it manual controls, spend a few thousand to yerz it out (make the social bonus apply to fellow gear heads) and call it a day. I would also make it known that it might be easy to track you down being there probably arent many pre-crash cars still in service.

I think I found something. What do you chummers know about Honda 3220? If that won't fit the criteria, I might have to make something up - GMC Phoenix and Dodge Charger (can't believe I forgot about that one) are both new cars in old style and Westwind 2000 and Dynamit are two-seaters, I need something capable of cramming in an entire team, even if it ends up being a very tight fit. And yeah, I know cars like that are recognizable - that's a plot point.

Description from Rigger BB1:
The cheapest sports car on the road in North America today. Targa top (hardtop inserts clip to rear luggage tray), bucket seats, mag wheels, high-speed suspension, and exceptional road-holding make the 3220 ZX a great value for the money. The 3220 ZX Turbo is the budget sports-car freak's dream-all the above, plus a turbo-boosted engine to boot. This is the engine that won the NorAm Sports Car Circuit Gold Cup for Honda in 2047 and 2048!

It’s a four seater though, but a sportish vehicle.
For statistics I’d use the Shin-Hyung of CRB

There is no doubt that the Shin-Hyung is the current go to sports car of 5e, but it's in no way classic.

As to the seat concerned, just add another set of seats and problem is solved. 4 seater Baby Blue Classic Westwind 2000 convertible softop .
Did the Neo-Nurburgring 6:47 flat.
