If anything it would do to explain to the guy how shooting a bum like that is a waste of time. If they weren't disguised (balaclavas for everyone!) going into the job, then they're on camera somewhere. If they were, then, so long as they are unobserved when they split up and switch their disguise, then it shouldn't matter too much who saw them in-between. If they're tracked from the crime, where they were recorded, (guaranteed,) to the car, (which, unless it was stolen, is attached to someone's SIN and therefore vital information DNA, pictures, etc,) then anyone who is investigating already has all the information that the bum could provide (general description along with a location from which to start the search.)
