Who says Orwell is wrong?  There are more countries than just America.  I've been in China for over 2 years, and it's Orwellian here like a mofo.
Remember, you don't have to kill the vehicle to stop it, just kill the guy driving it.

Huxley and Orwell's dystopias both coexist, and not only in time. Here in Brazil, we are living a moment when it's quite noticeable how a conjugation of Brave New World-esque and 1964-esque devices can strengthen each other.

I'd go with Gibson, personally.
"If you are expecting a rousing speech, or a cunning plan that will get us out of this, I will have to disappoint you. I don't have any. We either do this, or we die. And the world dies with us."
"I paid quite a lot to get all of you here. I expect you to give me my money's worth. Shogun out."

Orwell believed we'd eventually be enslaved by the things we hate.
Huxley believed we'd eventually be enslaved by the things we love.

Both were correct.

Orwell > Huxley.

Not because Huxley was wrong. But because Brave New World's writing is so loose it feels awkward and clumsy.

1984 is almost a damn platonic form of good writing.

Mind you, Huxley got it better than Orwell. But I read them back to back and it's hard to make the switch.
