Hey everybody

So, I just discovered HeroMachine 3 the other day and I love messing around with the thing (it's like Chummer, was for me two - three weeks ago ).

I like making avatars that are actual characters though, that have a concept and story behind them - that's what inspires me. So if you'd like me to make a portrait for your character, just post the character description/concept/story in a reply and I'll see what I can do.  I put this offer up in the Shadowrunesque art thread too, but I figured it'll just get lost in the strings of actual art posted there... plus here, I can make the offer for fantasy characters too!

Here's some of my work (in the order I created them):

A spell-sword based on an NPC from the Pathfinder group I play in.


Based loosely on a street-sam character that I made as my first SR4A character (but didn't end up using).


A female version of the Face Adept I play in my SR4A group.


Let me know what you think, give me a constructive crit, or if you have a character you'd like me to take a shot at, just let me know!

The poses HM3 offers are pretty limited by themselves, so I'm pretty proud of my running orc,  crouching pornomancer (wait a second, did I just stumble upon the Shadowrun Movie title!?).

Finished up this one this morning... I think I started out wanting to do a steampunk mechanic chick, but well ... I guess this is what happens when I don't have any real idea of who the character is.

This is my Qadiran Dervish Dancer Free-hand Fighter/Duelist from our present, and 4th,Pathfinder campaign. Might have to do our whole group if you guys don't give me some material...

Hmm, looking at that pic closer, I see I still need to do some touching up... her torso looks scrunched and legs too long...  She does kind of look ghostbuster-ish, huh?

Edit: the original has been touched up... think it looks much more like an actual character now, instead of cluttered.

Well, in the mean-time, here; I made a crazy, Shiva-armed Drider! Enjoy.

So, instead of my entire current PF campaign group, I decided to do a series of my favorite PCs made/played by the guys I group with, with whom I've participated in 4 Pathfinder campaigns now over about 3 years. I guess two in the series (plus my Dervish above) will be from the current campaign.

From our 2nd campaign, this is Kolgrimr, the womanizing, maul-wielding, weapon-sundering, earth-rending, Ulfen Barbarian.

This experiment turned out relatively well. There is no side-ways facing body template or clothing for that matter so I had to... improvise.

So, I got my first request from a forum member and I was super excited.

Any chance you could do an Albino Orc, throwing adept for me?

military style haircut, Plenty of throwing knives,  2 or 3 combat/vibro knives, Armored vest (if possible have a bunch of sheathed knives on it, ala the knife thrower in Desperado), Oh and some cowboy boots w/ silver highlights (he's a "Texican")

I think he and I are both pretty happy with the outcome. That was the first real perspective thing I've done (the cigarette flicking) and I was stoked that it turned out well.

If you want another Idea, could you give a go at a Female human Wolf Shaman. She's native American with long hair. She has a sword weapon focus.
This is my wife's character and she would be thrilled to get a good pic of her.

I found this one a little challenging to find the look, I wanted to do something kind of dramatic, mix old-timey and modern, and ended up going through a couple different poses before settling on the kind of ritualistic pose you see below.

A big thanks to Dark Lloyd for his third avatar request, presented me with a couple of challenges I had kind of been avoiding taking on: non-standard human proportions and metal highlights.

If you want another.
Take a stab at a dwarven street sam, heavily cybered, two chrome cyber arms and big guns. (a Panther cannon or a thunderstruck Gauss rifle) Military buzz cut, facial scar on left cheek, combat boots, either shades or cyber-eyes. He also carries little items on his person that he considers fetishes, if you could hang one off the end of the gun that would be awesome.

The Dwarf Sam is ChromeMonger. A really old character I've had. He's been thru two mutli-real life-year campaigns (Home game for the first and then we ran a three year campaign thru the Arcology Shutdown) and remade for my old Missions character. (I use Blanco for missions now since Chrome had to retire from karma cap.)

So, I resurrected this thread today because I found my way back to Hero Machine and made a new avatar.

She's an NPC from my campaign, a young Sioux girl with the Spirit Affinity and Spell Knack qualities that will be coming into my PCs lives...



I don't want to commit to too much, but if someone approaches me with an interesting concept, I might be down to do another request or two. So hit me up!

This one's not an avatar, more just a psuedo-vignette into my story-line. And yeah, I know Pixies aren't this small in SR but oh well.
