>>>>>[I know a nice Tiki Bar on the Tacoma-Renton Border which has a very nice New Years Eve party, if someone is still looking for a place to party.  Old Jack does some of the best cocktails I've tasted, including those of Dante's.  He also has very good snacks.]<<<<<

I'll call this good one. Merry xmas and a happy new year folks.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ring in the new year shadowgirls and shadowboys. We're most of a month through the latest lap around the sun, which hasn't gone out just yet, so I call it a win.

Anything fun and exciting in the Seattle underworld? I'm on enforced vacation and, truth be told, I'm getting a little homesick. And you know the newsfeeds don't get you any of the juicy detail, especially internationally.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Pain inducers are worse than bullets. Both hurt. Pain inducers are evil.

Hospital job. Break in, get a criminally insane patient out, break out. All was well until those six drones came. Turned our Troll into a whimpering pile in the corner. It hurt like hell when they started to... Microwave me. Shot them with a grenade launcher. Took some frags into myself too, but that hurt a lot less. Nearly killed the patient with it. Not a good job. Payout was good.]<<<<<

More than one Prop23 demonstration I attended ended, or turned into a riot, when the quaalz started shooting inducers into the crowd to get us to disperse.]<<<<<

>>>>>[I love those things.  I got my hands on one and started using it to keep the ducks out of my pool.  The thing was so handy that I bought my parents a few of them for Christmas.  Mom keeps one in her golf bag to chase off geese and gators that come onto the fairway, one in each car for deer, and one in the kitchen for anyone who walks off the course and into the yard.  Dad grouses about it being cruel and unusual and wants nothing to do with them, but he carries a Predator loaded with flechettes for random wildlife.

Having retired parents is so weird.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I've discovered a new method of protecting your sensitive information: Make it so that each layer of protection, no matter how it's bypassed, plays shitty pop music.

Not the greatest protection but I've had so many hacker friends sending me comms asking me why I would inflict such cruel torture on people. Made me laugh. Shitty pop music is also a great way to torment your friends after they mock your taste in music.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Been dark for too long. Sorry about that. Let's just say I had to skip town for a while. Fallout from that business in Aztlan. Bastards chased me all the way to fragging Antarctica. Thankfully, I met a couple spirits who were... less than pleased with Aztechnology along the way, and they interceded on my behalf with the local spirits. In other news, I've now got contacts on six of the seven continents. Still never been to Australia.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Doesn't everything want to kill you in Australia anyways? Probably for the best.

In other news, for my fellow non-human metahumans looking for love (or maybe just sex): be really careful who you decide to meet up with on those dating things, humanis seems to be using it to target us. Again. Found out after nearly getting a new breathing hole in my face on my date last night. Now he's having a nice, long nap at the bottom of the pier. Dunno if it's an isolated incident or not, just be careful.

And I was just getting over the last time that happened, too... ]<<<<<

I would use my regular guy, but he took one in the face from a ganger on the last run and so out of action while he heals up.]<<<<<
