>>>>>[Yes, Marak. But it is a lot of work. And to run in the circles I do, you have to act the part. Like I've said before, I was born into the high life, so I know how to act around the upper crust. Then there's the fact that I'm an elf, and from the Tir, and a nobleman. It gives me a certain glamour (not the magical kind) that most high society types (and women of most stripes) respond well to. An ork or a troll would not be able to achieve the same level of success as I do in this regard. It is a simple fact that while not everyone in high society is racist, there are standards and appearances to uphold, and too few orks and trolls, in my experience, have the necessary skills. Murphy, in fact, is one of the few Barrens kids I've met who can keep from embarrassing a high society client, even in the bodyguard role.
So yes, my 'day job', as it were, is glamorous, but I can only do it at that level because I have the looks, the charisma, and the experience with high society necessary to pull it off. Plus, I'm a combat mage, so being a date that can double as a bodyguard that you can take with you to any club in Seattle, Hong Kong, Paris, New York, or Denver has its advantages, as you can imagine.]<<<<<
