I edited the post to be more clear (hopefully). Basically, I was being a dick.

So getting back on topic, it's just not clear what happened, and the one character who knows hasn't said.

While Burning Bright doesn't implicate Colloton into a mantis spirit conspiracy, the UCAS federal government as described in Conspiracy Theories looks an awful lot like a gynocracy.  ;) And Penchyk is still around.

As for where she went and who knows, it depends on who expended what resources, and how they did it. Ehran the Scribe doesn't run the DIMR (although he's the only person mentioned, so most people probably think he does), and the Vice Chair of the Draco Foundation was almost certainly the most skilled nethermancer on Earth. Another board member, Grace Friel, is reputed for being able to find anyone anywhere in the Matrix.

Piffle! I don't take anything personal. You've been a good guy for, like, ever. We're not always on the same page, but it's cool. Heck, I crib some of your lines to get a nice tone for some of the Jackpointers now. :D

Well, she does dabble in pacifism (five point Pacifist Quality).

Tree-Hugging Hippie Drek in Shadowrun?

I thought that was a sure way towards suicide!

Well, maybe only in Amazonia where the trees try to eat you.

Thorn: You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.
Fianchetto: And, you know, she's got emotional problems, man.
Thorn: You mean... beyond pacifism?

Also, Wak! You must watch the movie. I want a full report by Friday.

Yeesh. I still have yesterday's Monday Night Raw, two weeks of My Little Pony, Avatar: the Legend of Korra, a Game of Thrones DVD set, and Skyrim, all waiting for me. I've sworn off games until I get my current book finished for Mr Hardy, then I have the political campaign to prep for NEXT month, so, I have a dance card that's filled to bursting as it is.

I don't think I'll have time for a bowling movie, but, if I get a window, I'll let you know.

It's much more than a bowling movie. There's intrigue, mystery, love, betrayal, and much more. Plus it's one of the most quotable movies I've seen. Seriously, it's not just about bowling.

Anyway, I may as well just take over this thread and say that since Nadja is one of my babies, if you have anything to share (comments, questions, "Fuck yous") you may as well say it here.

There's also a dream that's out of a drug habit, and a really good interrogation tactic that I should steal someday.

No, I'm not talking about the toilet.

I've noticed it's very easy to get me to go off the rails.

I've always found Nadja to be an interesting character and have wondered about a connection between her and Claudia Romanov. My biggest complaint is the lack of info regarding what happened during the coup. All we know is she was in Seattle, Roth tried to kill her, ????, profit!

Edit- My style of interrogation is a mix of Jackie Treehorn and the Sheriff of Malibu.

The material on the failed coup/insurrection was sparse enough in SR4 that it was easy to not know it ever happened until I came onboard. There are plenty of liberties to be taken, but a violent insurrection in North America and the successful counterinsurrection should have been a much bigger deal. It was not even clear in the material until I took some stabs at it to indicate the scope of the event.

I've pretty much been allowed to incorporate the broad strokes of my original material re: Roth and Daviar from years ago. However, there are some very significant differences between what I wrote in 2005 and what is canon (Plenty should be obvious just from comparing TNF and Roth's writeup in SOTA73). One thing that hasn't changed (yet?) is that the last time Daviar saw Samantha Roth was when the colonel took a bullet to the head to save her life. What either knows about the other beyond that is not for you to know right now. ;) But, yes, I am still working from the angle that Roth was going to let Daviar die ... Until she did not.

As for Romanov, the connection or lack thereof between her and Daviar is pretty much how it appears. The Devil is in the details.

Well Daviar is one of my favorite characters, along with Ryan Mercury, Kane, Kat o'Nine Tales and Slamm'0!. I wonder what's coming next in her story.
