Here is the Human Hacker/B&E/Generalist for my shadowrun game, we are using some houseruled character creation rules you can find here:

400BP, SR4A Only - except Qualities, Traditions and Mentor Spirits from SM, AU and UN.
No Technomancers
Str reduces Recoil special rule
CHA x2 Free BP for contacts
Attributes: None can be "hardcapped", only one can be soft capped.
Skills: One at 5 OR Two at 4, the rest at 3 or less.
Gear: Max Avail = 10
Cyberlimbs: Head counts as partial limb, you may not customise a limb above your current stat.
Cyberware Upgrades: Once play starts runners may upgrade their starting ware into a higher rating by paying only the difference in cost.

I also gave each character a "special" item that broke the Availability rule and that they didn't have to pay for.  I am not sure what to give this character, I was thinking something along the lines of a nanohive.[/spoiler]

Well, I sound like a broken record, but I'd go away from cybereyes.

He's got a strength of 2, blades isn't really doing him much good. I'd drop that point and put it to use elsewhere.

Locksmith is for old school locks. Don't know how common they are in your game, but if they aren't very common, I'd suggest dropping it (he'd still get six dice defaulting) and tossing that point elsewhere as well.

He's really trying to do quite a bit. Without knowing what kind of expert type he's wanting to play I couldn't really tell a whole lot more. He could pick up the stealth group at 2 instead of having Shadowing and Infiltration at 3. He'd have 4 extra point and have palming and disguise at 2 as well.

Already having a street sam in the group, I'd recommend dropping Automatics down to 3 and bumping hacking up to 5.

All of Crash's advice is good, especially the advice to drop the cybereyes and just get goggles/contacts.

If you want to melee with strength 2, unarmed+shock gloves or clubs+stun baton.

One question we had - when it comes to hacking, how does your logic attribute ever come into play?  I know matix actions are hacking+program, but is there ever a situation you roll logic+hacking?

I can see not wanting that to happen, but that's what a shotgun with shock-lock ammo is for. The good ol' Masterkey :)

No, you don't use logic to hack. The only advantage to having high Logic as a hacker is that if you were getting Electronics anyways, this makes you good at Hardware which is useful for stuff like bypassing maglocks. If you don't just use core, hackers also typically get stuff like PuSHeD, Encephalon, and Neocortical Nanites that make you good at logic skills, which means you might as well have a decent logic and pick up other logic skills so they can benefit too.

There's also the oft-overlooked autopicker that can pretty much give you Locksmith 6 for 1200Y.
