Hermetics and 'Ware

Maybe it's been asked and talked about before...

But has anyone bothered with 'ware to boost logic?  Sure, there's the loss of essence/magic, but has anyone seen if/how it balances out in play?

Cerebral boosters are a fairly obvious augmentation for a hermetic mage to get, and a lot of players (judging from various posters) seem to put an Essence point's worth of 'ware into a mage as a matter of course.

I've been leaning that way myself...

Our previous magical support died (horribly so), and since I was also between characters, I decided to make up for the loss.  I'll be able to recover the loss of the magic through initiation pretty quickly.

More importantly, the concept fits (a guy who is kind of in it for the power - a small sacrifice now for possible more power later).

Or if you're like me, a somewhat bigger sacrifice for insane payout down the line. ;D
I think that the big thing is that you're trading a point of Magic power for a point of Drain.  And technical skills.
