Did the drake meta changed with 6th edition ? Drake are no longer metahuman who transform into full smaller dragon ? they're draconique metahuman now ?
What about ryan mercury from the dunkelzhan trilogy...is he still a drake ? or a special type of drake.

I don't know all the past lore about drake's, but in 6e drakes are metahumans that transform into monstrous metahumans with dragon like features, like Saturday morning cartoon characters.  They can either be made this way by dragons, or they are born this way.  Previous to 6e they were all made this way.
