Seeing this in Chrome Flesh got me thinking in how to salvage the alphabet.
I thought for a campaign/plot feature, the most elite shadow clinics are working on gamma grade cyberware, which is actually between beta and delta (Avail +6, Ess x0.6, Nuyen x2). They just don't have the resources for what is required for delta grade, but are coming up with the next best thing.
Meanwhile, the corporations are working on epsilon grade (same stats as Chrome Flesh gamma), but to muck up the competition and throw off data steals, they're letting it leak out as gamma grade.
Don't know if an extra grade of augmentation would be cool, or just unnecessarily complicated...
