You'd be surprised how long it takes to even get to 100 Karma that way.
I admit it's a bit more bookkeeping (although it could be easily solved by just putting #X at the end of every post indicating the post number),

But of course this is only an offer - if you don't want to, you don't have to.

Regarding your mage: I'd prefer it if everybody only plays one character at a time. I fear that having to act on two different initiative phases would slow combat considerably down. It can also lead to democracy problems if one player has two IP votes.
But as always I am open for reasoned arguments.

Introducing the new character would be up to you all IP - unless the team actively looks for a mage to add to the rooster there probably won't be any candidates.

It's not a problem if you don't want me to play two chars. Personally, I have done it for years for several reasons. In RL play, there are sometimes problems regarding my incapability of being two persons simultaneously (dialogs, for example, are always a bit awkward). Apart from this, I don't think it's a problem to distuingish between init phases (we haven't posted strictly in init order anyway) or democracy (since my characters are prone to disagree despite the fact that they are played by the same person; they themselves are not very much alike).

I see the possibility basically as an alternative if we fail to hire another player or if you don't want another player to join (since more players would probably slow us down).

I also prefer the traditional system when it comes to karma.

But it's up to you Jack to decide one way or another.

Ok, that's three against - motion denied.  Everything stays as it was.

Time for some Karma Rewards:

16 Karma for all and 1 Edge regain for all, except Krestov who regains 2 (if that brings you above your max, you can keep the additional one as a temporary Edge that won't regenerate)

Ugh, my character sheets are so messed up right now. I need to bookmark all of these important money and karma posts so that after all is said and dne I can take a week to get everything back in order.

Now where's the one with for Karma after the last run >.>

And for other people like me, and so that I only need to bookmark one page:
Karma & Nuyen after pain & Gain
Nuyen after bnc fenced the gear
Karma after Sins of the Fathers
New Housing stats and rent costs
Home By Me for designing the new place.

Woah thanks!
I face a similar problem. It's total chaos.

Has someone already opened a recruitment thread? Do you want to recruit another player, guys?

EDIT: I just realized I never asked: Is there a lass among you?

16 Karma? So I have 20 unspent Karma in total (after my second Initiation)

Well, I guess I'll buy me some Qi Foci....or a third Initiate Grade!

Btw , I have spent no credits(apart from the starting credits) , but I can't quite remember how much money I got.

Forgot to roll for drain after the battle :

Drain: 5d6t5 2

1 Stun damage

So on the question of the 5th player, I would selfishly appreciate it if we could figure out whether or not that's happening before the end of this run. If we don't get a mage than either Slobbertooth or Torrent are going to need to pick up Astral Perception for the team, and at the moment neither one of them will be any good at it without a large Karma expenditure. We're both sitting on decent piles of Karma, so now would be the time to figure this out.

It's up to you players.
If Volker says he can manage two characters without problems I'll sure give it a try. But I'm equally open for a new player or you solving it with the resources you have.

I can, as I have been doing for years :)

I'd suggest, the other players should vote, and should so so soon. Everyone has one vote:
 a) We stay in the same configuration and either Slob or Torrent invest their Karma in Magical Perception.
 b) The team expands IC only (adding MacC under my control)
 c) The team expands IC and OoC (adding a new char under a new player's control, whom we should invite soon).

I myself don't vote, since I proposed b.

EDIT: I wouldn't mind pausing the plot for a couple of posts to focus on roleplay. This must have been a very important moment in Slob's lifes and I think it deserves the proper amount of time.

I'd vote b or c. I don't have the time to pick up the magical rules, and I'm already playing a psion in a Pathfinder game, so I don't have the desire to play a caster at the moment.

I just realized I never asked: Is there a lass among you?
If there is one, it is not I.

I have started designing the floor plan for our new place. It will probably take a while because I am very picky about these things.

Let me just quote this for reference.

How wide should the doors be to account for Krestov?

1m at least. Standard wide is 80 cm, so 1,20cm would be probably enough for a troll to be comfortable.

Regarding plot:
Take your time. You have a full week until the party - and now that you know that the husband isn't actually the target you have even more time on your hands since the Lady lives here permanently. That said, the party will still be your best chance to get close to her.

Also, there is no reason to assume that Thorin has been warned. The house of a killer burning down with him vanishing does not automatically say someone's plotting against one of his clients.
The one who is most certainly alert will be the Lonestar Captain. That's the one you should keep in mind as he won't be happy to have lost his best assassin.

I thought the Lone Star captain  and Woden worked for mrs. Thorin and I assumed that she knew about our investigation.

Not exclusively. The captain is just a freelancing contractor for a lot of different clients, employing Woden as his weapon.
You just happen to have the list that incriminates Eliza Thorin.

The captain certainly won't tell his clients that his employee fucked up. ;)
