MCT is probably taking the charge on that one, which get interesting ... MOST of CHicago probably got Wireless via NeoNET, like most of North America, but Feral Chicago had nothing. With MCT moving in there, hard, odds are that they get to take the feral wireless contract. Whether or not it'll play nicely with NeoNET's is an interesting question.

The Zone has wireless, they have NooseNet, as evidenced in Chasin' The Wind where the PCs are hired to replace faulty transceivers inside the zone.  It's not good, worse than the Seattle public grid for sure, but it's much more than they used to have.

Additionally, the opening of the new novel Fire & Frost is set in Chicago. The story details a pretty quick in-and-out run...short, but some decent fluff (IMHO ).
