Aside from here, I haven't been seeing a tremendous amount of "bad word of mouth" for Street Grimoire.  It has problems - many problems.  But there aren't a lot of negative press reviews out there, if any.  I think most people are willing to live with the mistakes until errata releases, or it wouldn't be selling so well.  We'll see about the physical copy though - those are a different kind of market.

Actually, to clarify: I find it strange that outside of the SR forums, there isn't much word-of-mouth at all. Like, SG did not get as much promotion as R&G did. It didn't get the previews of segments of the book and the fact that there aren't many TRPG media sites reviewing it, leads me to believe that there weren't many review copies sent out. And when it was released it kind of just popped up on the scene, unlike R&G which had been hyped before it's release.

I dunno...it's just weird to me.

Pretty fair comments. I suspect (as others have suggested), that it might be more related to "backlog" caused from the con season and the glut of new releases that are hitting the market...guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The DrivethruRPG reviews are not good.  I think catalyst might have not promoted it much, just realizing they screwed up.....which begs teh question why they didn't just wait a few months?

And where are my "by end of summer" FAQs/errata?

Edit: well, if they are using the farmer's almanac the Autumnal equinox would be the evening of the 22nd of September with the first full day of Fall being the 23rd of September so they might still slide in on that one. ;)

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

None of us here have that answer, you'd need to ask Jason or Randall. Not sure of the value in taking those comments literally, but your call.  ;)
